WHIP
Not a stupid question. That's what they do to any closer who blows a save. Well, they should. WHIP is a ratio of Hits + Walks given up to innings pitched. For example if a pitcher pitches 6 innings and gives up 6 hits and 3 walks, his WHIP is 9 over 6 or 1.50. The lower the number the better the pitcher is.
