I agree with savage. Bunting isn't as easy as it seems. I'm certain Giambi has spent very little time practicing the art of bunting.

My point is how do you know he could lay down a good bunt when he hasn't practiced it? Don't forget there is such a thing as a pitcher and catcher to field in case the bunt is not so perfect.
