AS A V.N. ERA VET.......SPENDING 4 YEARS THAT I DID NOT HAVE TO...LIVING ON AND OFF AIRCRAFT CARRIERS.....NO LIFE BUT FIGHT AND DON'T LOSE......FOR A CAUSE THAT WAS NEVER DEFINITIVELY EXPLAINED TO US......BUT ONE THAT DICTATED SEA AND LAND BASED OPERATIONS CONTINUOUS AND AROUND THE CLOCK AT TIMES....FOR FOREIGN COUNTRY(S) THAT COULD GIVE A RATS ASS ABOUT US......

I WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK PAT FOR HIS HONESTY AND GENUINE HEART FELT FORCE THAT DROVE HIM TO BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS COUNTRY BY A BUNCH OF TURBAN SUCKING... CAMEL HUMPING COWARDS IN SEPT OF '01 NOT ONLY JUSTIFIED BUT QUANTIFIED HIS DECISION(S).....AND HE PERSONNALY VOWED THAT IF IT WERE UP TO HIM IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO THIS COUNTRY AGAIN ....HE PROVED HIMSELF.....MORE THAN MOST...

THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN THE US SERVICE FOR ALL THEY DO AND FOR WHAT ALL TRUE AMERICANS BELIEVE IN!

It never ceases to irritate me how most celebrities want to whine, cry and bitch about everything in this country, and the politics behind every decision made via the president or congress. Despite what anyones political view is on the war overseas, those men are fighting for the U.S. and they deserve the upmost respect and honor and support from us. These hollywood types constantly want to be recognized for thier petitioning of sweatshops and their charitiable deeds for nothing less than looking good in the public eye. Not one of these hollywoods or anyone else like them will ever step out and do half the things Tillman did. AND FOR WHAT, HIS BELIEF IN SUCH!!!! He was a true American hero! And for that I say again Thank you.

I have never served our country in the armed forces but I am thankful for all those that did and continue to do so. No matter what your political views are, because of men like yourself and men like Pat Tillman, people who do not agree with our government policies have the right to disagree. The men and women who have fought and continue to fight for this great country, allow people to have a choice. Like the country song says "Freedom don't come free". Anyone who has a problem with what is going on overseas, just remember 9 / 11. I remember and will never forget - and neither will my child.
My prayers are not only for Pat Tillman and his family, but also for all the other servicemen and women who are fighting FOR US. They give us the rights and freedoms that we have and I get pissed off when people forgot that.
Goldvike, to you and all the others who served and all who are still serving and to those like Pat Tillman who gave their lives for us, I thank you.

You are one of the reasons those assholes in hollywwod have the right to protest the war. The thing that irritatea me the most is if you agree or disagree with the was shut up already, The war has happened. We need to support our troops 100% no matter how you feel about the war. My support and thanks go out tp Tillman and his family. He is a true American. Goldvike, Thank You for giving me the privlige to live in such a great country. I have allways respected you but it has tripled since hearing this.

Pat Tillman died for us

Pat Tillman's act is the most selfless of anyone in this country. To sacrifice fame and a one time shot at millions is more than any of us have ever done. That said, it is sad that someone would use this thread for a political diatribe particularly when he is so ignorant that he doesn't even know Pat died in Afghanistan not Iraq.

GOD BLESS anyone who has to serve in any WAR since they risk the most of all when it comes to their LOVED ONES and our FREEDOM.

My only problem is with the COWARDLY POLITITIANS who put them in those positions for no JUSTIFIABLE REASONS

GV said it perfectly when he said nobody explains what the fight is about but only to fight.

Afghanistan is JUSTIFIED IMO since thats where the TERRORISTS were centrally based but I still to this day do not understand IRAQ & I NEVER WILL. Just PRAY that everyone over there can get back SAFELY.
