Drese/Texas...Record 0/0...ERA 1.80....WHIP 1.000...gave up 1 HR in 10 innings of work...averages 5.7 innings, then we go to the 2.81 Bull Pen....

Oddsmakers made this Seattle -133, OVER 10 1/2 -130...They must be figuring on some bats doing the talking...I'm saying it's the Bats of the Texas Rangers....

In essence....TEXAS and the OVER....Thats what I'm doing..Figure the game to be 8-4, TEXAS...LOL....OLDman...kmann

Be Careful

I never like to disagree with Memphis, but numbers are tricky and you can almost always find a way to make numbers support you decision. Which I may be doing right now.

In this case, Pineros record against Texas is much better than Drese's record against Seattle. In Pineros last 4 starts against Texas he gave up more than 2 runs only once. Drese has given up 11 Earned Runs in just 9 innings against Seattle and Texas is 0 - 4 in his last four starts. Granted, Pinero is having a very slow start this year, but this guy is 36 - 20 the past three seasons, with an ERA in the low threes. And here's the kicker. These two faced each other just 5 days ago. Seatle 4 Texas 2.

BC...Seattle does not score much....therefore oddsmakers with a 10 1/2 O/U they figure the runs to come from somewhere...They must anticipate it being Mariners as they are favored..

Memphis--these figures are the first thing I look at, compared to Lines, to perk my interest, and indicate further research, if needed..

Sandman---very good points....paper is stats---I'm strictly present day stats player--no trends--no past history---I look at em now, today, who's hot, who's not...My method only...PS.. on 4/14 I quit posting plays and updateing record...at that time BASES was 32/19 +19.64 units...Quit updating cause it was time consuming, and I was watching some of our service? members, you might say fudge, their record...:D :D :D do appreciate the chance to debate, and we have agreed how to disagree...:cool:

I took into account that game sandy and its one of the factors that led me to my conclusion . #1 - It was on the road and at the tail-end of a travel marathon . #2 - Recent memory gives motivation to avenge . #3 - I really like the way they play at home (so far) meaning Texas .

kmann. Guess I used the wrong emoticon. No, I wasen't serious. Just trying to say it was My Bad, in a humorous vein. Sorry for any misunderstanding but I did apprediate what you wrote anyway.
This isn't the first time I posted a different take on something and it won't be the last.

Oldman, when I started posting my plays at *********, I tried to get oldman for my ID because all the sandman ID's were taken but so was oldman. Could that be you. So, overthere, I am oldfart. Probally more fitting. :D My baseball plays over there are ranked 212 out of 2119. Not as good as Memphis, but I'm working at it.
