  • Interesting NBA Total Play tonight

The Celtics-Pacers total is currently at about 180 or 181. The OVER makes a lot of sense.

Ron Artest, the league's defensive player of the year, is out with a suspension. He would have spent most of the night guarding Paul Pierce. Pierce has to carry the Celtics for them to have a shot. I expect Pierce to have a very big night scoring-wise.

On the other hand, Boston can't stop anybody. In thier last ten games they have given up more than 100 points eight times! The only two games they gave up fewer than 100 was when they were playing the low-scoring Nets who didn't have either Martin or Kidd. With Pierce putting up a lot of shots for Boston, Indiana should respond with lots of points of their own against a porous defense. The Pacers have scored over 100 each of their last three games. Further, the two teams combined for 192 points in game one, which is 12 more than toinight's total and tonight figures to have more scoring than the first game. I look for about 198 points, which would be WAY over tonite's total.

    I'm not 100% certain

I thought TBS showed a stat last night that the Pacers give up LESS points with Artest OUT of the lineup. Can someone confirm?

The Pacers were 4-2 ATS and 3/3 OU with Artest out of the lineup this year.

      !!!

With tonight's win, Indiana has now scored 100 or more four games in a row and Boston has given up over 100 nine of its last eleven. Boston likely to be play better at home Friday. Play it over again, up to 188.

        I do not know

What the totals ended up but the Pacers are one team I followed in the NBA this year and I had a small write up essentially that agreed with your over assessment BUT the reasoning being the Pacer bench......either way....we both nailed the over.....CONGRATS and best of luck to you and good job! Nice call on the total. I ended up playing Shaq-ramento and Dallas over 218 and will need OT to win it. Maybe 2 OT's.
NSA's NBA Game Of The Year was on Dallas -4.5 on March 31. Orlando won 108-99. It was a cloudy day for Sonny LaFouchi.

            Good Luck Dr. T!

With these two teams.......they can go for 70 to 80 in a quarter faster than a tit mouse hiccup.......they both play killer defense in the first quarter and slam each other to about a 50 point total! 2nd Q looks even worse..........probably means 3rd and 4th will be the antithisis of game one......look for a total play for the 2H much like the Under covering easy in game one 2nd half yet the game covering the total of 219.......BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!! Small play on 2nd half over Mavs-Kings

The half time total is only 108. It may be worth a small play. 108 would make the final total only 194. One of these teams is certain to score at least 100 tonight. I'm making a tiny bet on the over for the second half.
