Just posting one early game for now.....will be back shortly for games starting after the Cards/Stros

    3* Medium Play
Houston -130 ....Wade Miller has pitched very well vs. the Cardinals in his career. Plus, he's pitched very well at Busch, 2-1 w/a 3.33 in 4 games and during the day he's 15-7 with a 2.63 ERA over the last 3 seasons. Conversely, Carpenter's career during day games is 5-9 with a 5.49 ERA. Renteria is 0 for 16 in his career vs. Miller.

      Adding

5* White Sox/Royals OVER 10 ....Sox have been swinging hot sticks, and there were 6 HRs with the wind blowing in yesterday. Today wind blowing from right to left at 12 MPH.

By the way, who is starting for SF? ESPN has Franklin, Sportsline has Rueter and my online book has Cooper. Staying away from this game and the Cubs....be back with more tonight.

2-0 to start the day! Let's see if we can keep it rolling.....

          5* Top Play
Seattle -110 ....Garcia pitched a tremendous game in his first outing against Anaheim, going 7 innings and allowing only 4 hits and 0 runs. Unfortunately, the pen blew it for him. He's 10-2 with a 2.24 ERA in his career against Anaheim, and loves pitching at Edison Field (5-1, 2.84). Ortiz, on the other hand, was rocked in his first outing against a good hitting Texas club, and did not have a good spring. He hasn't fared well vs. Seattle in the past, and is not much better than an average pitcher at home.

Minnesota +112 ....Funny, the only person on the Indians roster that has a hit against Minn. starter Silva is the Indians' starter, D'Amico. I realize both pitchers are ex-NLers, but I don't trust the Tribe's pen.

          3* Medium Plays
NY Mets -1.5 +180....I'm not one to usually bet run lines, but I think the Mets score a bunch vs. Thomson tonight. He has not pitched well in Shea in his career (0-4), but more importantly, I think Yates could be the real deal. Atlanta could be without Drew, Chipper & Furcal again tonight.

Los Angeles +127 ....Ishii has always pitched well vs. the Padres; mostly because he hasn't walked as many guys as he normally does. A couple new Padres have really struggled against Kaz: Payton is 2 for 13 & Giles 1 for 5. Milton Bradley & Encarnacion are really the only two Dodger regulars who have faced Wells often, and they both have fared well. Bradley is hitting .467 with a double & HR in 15 ABs, and Encarnacion has 2 2b, 3b & a HR in 22 ABs.

          1* Small Play
Cincinnatti +155 ....I like this matchup for the Reds. Padilla throws very hard (upper-90s), but the Reds have a very good fastball-hitting club. Dunn, Kearns & Jimenez are all good fastball hitters. If Acevedo can keep the Philly hitters off balance by moving the ball around, and Padilla falls in love with his heater like he often does, I like the Reds chances.

Really like the Seattle play it's my top play of the Day. Just hope Garcia pitches a complete game because there bullpen sucks.

Everybody seems to be on the Padres tonight but I think you have the Right side with the dodgers. The last two years I would bet Kaz up until the Allstar break and then go against him the 2nd half. Pretty profitable. I watched his first outing and he looked pretty sharp.. Just needs to stay away from the walks.
S.D is 13-7 vs the dodgers at S.D the last 3 years but hey new ballpark maybe new trend. I'll root for ya just can't pull the trigger on that one.

You have a take on the colorado game? Like Colorado in this one, Think Kennedy gets the rematch. Just wondering why this line is so low. At least in my opinion it's low.

I'm checking out the Met game now I think you may be on to something...
            Good Luck

I'm looking at the Braves lineup from last night and trying to figure out how they gave up 6 runs. I don't even know some of these guys first name:

              Wise
              DeRosa
              Giles
              Laroche
              A. Jones
              Estrada
              Marrero
              Garcia
              Thomson

Not quite the '27 Yankees, that's for the sure.

Still ended up 4-2 on the day, +8.7 units. Sure wish Seattle didn't blow so many chances. 2nd & 3rd nobody out in the ninth with their 2, 3 & 4 hitters coming up and they couldn't score. Hope you jumped on the Rockies last night....easy winner. Wish I would have myself.
