3*.........OAKLAND A'S -1- RUNS(-15).........zito had his first ever defeat in 18 starts last week vs this team...the score was 2-1 and he only allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in a solid 8 inning performance...he is 11-1 vs this team lifetime with an era of 2.39 including 2 complete games and 1 shutout.....but, the relievers looked shaky on sunday...rhodes blew his first save of the year and hammond looked like he was throwing batting practice...zito should go at least 7 or 8 innings in this one and will get the run support tonight....callaway on the other hand is truly their 5th starter and basically was not needed until tonight...he is 0-1 lifetime against the a's with an era well over 8....zito gets his revenge tonight....also the a's won 15 of 19 last year vs this team....only worry as i type is the fact that the money line is dropping fast(stardust currently 178 and olympic 172!!!! from 205 this morning)....
3*......MARLINS -120..................they have this teams number....the fish have won 11 of last 13....also penny was only beat 3-2 by this team in their only loss of the series last week and for only the third time in his 15 career starts vs this team....he is 10-3 lifetime with an era of 2.37......revenge factor play again just like zito and the a's.... plus the marlins bullpen has not allowed any of the 10 runners it has inherited to score through six games...the pen is 2-0 with a 1054 era with 5 haolds and 5 saves...the expos, besides not really having a home, are still waiting for their bats to be delivered via fed ex!!!!!!!!!!!! just 10 runs in their last 6 games and guys like bautista are hitting .091(2-22)and wilkerson .118(2-17)....the weather is terrible down there and fed ex again wont deliver their bats to Hiram Bithorn...maybe they will find them in canada!!!!!!!!
