  • Why did I take the Rockets?

I didn't cap these games myself.........I got them from various posters on the forum. Lately, I've been taking some shots at parlays. Within the past couple of weeks I tried some three teamers and couldn't hit those so why I tried a five teamer is beyond me. I can tell you this: it sure hurts more when you come this close; I would have rather lost 4 of 5 games versus winning 4 of 5!!
The Rockets were never really in the game against Golden State, although they tried to make a late run and got within five points.

    Ticket No.: 14518260 5-TEAM PARLAY
    [717] ROCKETS HOUSTON -4-110...........(loss)
    [715] BLAZERS PORTLAND +8½..............(won)
    [714] SACKINGS SACRAMENTO -13½......(won)
    [924] ATHLETICS OAK -210.....................(won)
    [715] BLAZERS PORTLAND u184½-110...(won)
    Risking $375.00to win $6,978.24

They turned my plus day into a minus one. I unloaded on them! Made a little back with the half time line, but it still hurt the bankroll. Public was all over them not to mention both of my systems. Oh well today is a new day!
      Better luck

        took it too

have you guys noticed that in the NBA that when a team has a spread that makes sense and looks good (doesn't look like a trap) it turns into a trap. i can't stand the NBA.

          Thanks guys!

Fast Break, Billy Barooooooo, and Tony Vegas: I appreciate the support!
I just needed to vent a little and most of you can relate to the fact of not having too many places to do that.
I can't tell the wife or anyone else close to me as they would not understand why I partake in this thing called sports betting!

Another great thing about this forum: guys and girl(s) that will offer kind words of empathy to help you get through situations!!

          Sincerely,
          Bennojd

get em back today ben...that woulda been a nice hit... the rockets have now lost 5 straight and the warriors have been actually playin good ball lately but cmon they should atleast beat them but SU loss is shitty....those parlays with lot of teams are real tough, i had a 6 teamer last year that woulda been huge and lost on a backdoor cover, it still bothers me to this day but we gotta keep at it...i like takin a chance at a big hit on parlays but i still like playin the parlay teams separate cuz i always seem to have more winners than losers and when i dont bet separate i'll have one loser and multiple winners and end up losin loot.

The way you lost that six-teamer is way worse than my five teamer!........back door cover(s) are killers!

I know what you mean about parlays versus straight up. Usually I try and hedge the parlay w/ one other bet that's not in the parlay. But your idea of betting all the "parlay" games seperate does make sense!.......especially when you hit 4 of 5 games and lose money like I did (I didn't have a hedge game last night).

Thanks for the support and advice!

                Sincerely,
