The Kings enter this event at 53-23 Straight Up, including 32-6 SU at Home. They are coming off a 99-94 SU win as two point Dog at the Rockets on Sunday. The Kings currently hold a one game edge over their Conference rivals in the loss column, and figure to take no prisoners this evening.

The Hornets are 14-24 SU on the Road. This is the fifth and final game of a Western Road Trip that has seen them go 1-3 SU so far. The Hornets have had their own share of key injuries, but still are in the midst of the Playoff race in a much weaker conference......They are whooped and ready to get home but not before they get whooped again..........

Probable Starters: Colon vs. Moyer
Monday was highly successful for our MLB Picks. Our top two tips, Kansas City (+100) and San Diego (+100) both won. Today we preview three more games, leading off with the Angels at the Mariners.

Anaheim have a good chance of starting the season with a win at their division rivals. The line on them, +105, is also appealing. The Angels send out Bartolo Colon who pitched extremely well in two starts at Safeco last season for the White Sox. Seattle lost both those games. The stadium suits his style, which boils down to challenging hitters with his fastball. If they can hit it our of the park they win, otherwise he usually wins. The Mariners send out Moyer, who is always described as "crafty", which means he has no zip and out-thinks pitchers with guile alone. This is a tough Anaheim lineup, however, and with Colon on the mound the Mariners are unlikely to start off with a win. Bet Anaheim @ +105.
NBA Picks
T-Blazers @ Lakers; Under 185 Total Points

The Lakers are playing the best basketball of any team right now, and one aspect of play that has markedly improved is their overall defense. They are conceding fewer points, even in games that they ultimately lose, and taking the Under in Total Points for their home games has netted us some big recent wins. In fact we have picked the Under in their two previous home games, against the Rockets and the Spurs respectively, and won substantial bets both times.

It should pay to follow this strategy again on Tuesday when they entertain a Portland team that often shoots poorly on the road. The last time the Blazers were in the Staples Center they managed 71 points, and that was against the Clippers. The Under 185 Total Points play is our best bet of the day in the NBA.

The Masters begins on Thursday. It's entertaining to watch, but it's even more enjoyable when you're making money in the process. Follow our Masters handicapping and detailed betting preview, and that's exactly what you could be doing come Sunday.

Our golf record this season has been excellent and we have four picks for the Masters. They're all at value prices as well, starting with Vijay Singh, who is the best bet of all at 12/1. Close behind him is Adam Scott at 30/1, and for good measure we've thrown in two longshots as well in Kenny Perry and Fredrik Jacobson. With Tiger, Ernie, Love, and Weir all struggling right now these are the four men to bet at Augusta.

Probable Starters: Estes vs Johnson
This is a true underdog pick, and in years gone by it would have seemed suicidal to bet against the Big Unit, in his opening day debut no less. But this could be the season where Randy Johnson's slide is more newsworthy than his slider. It could also be the season where Shawn Estes improves although his stats might not reflect it - way up in that skinny Colorado air.

Estes had a great spring, and although his numbers at Bank One Ballpark were horrible last year we expect him to be effective today. This is going to be a long and fruitless season for the Rockies, who have very little in the way of quality pitching, but this is an awfully big line, and they are the value play here.
