Red Sox futures bet

While most books are incredibly chintzy with their futures odds, Olympic Sports has the Boston Red Sox at +600 (6-1) to win the World Series. Most other books have them as low as +300 or +350.

While I'm not particularly a Red Sox fan, this team seems absolutely loaded this year and has dealt with LY's biggest problem---their bullpen. The Yanks getting A-Rod is being overdone. Boston seems to have five allstars on their roster and has no visible weaknesses.

Any thoughts on getting 6-1 on them?

And, yes, I know I'm fighting about 150 years of history on this!

I have been a diehard Sox fan since 1952 (yeah I am 59), and I took them several months ago to win WS at 6.5-1.
I may also make a smaller wager on the hated Yanks as a hedge.
I would take those odds especially as they have dropped everywhere else.

For the record wwts, where I made original bet on Sox at 6.5-1, now has them at a "generous" 2.4-1(yuck).

I thought tonight might be a great time to resurrect this post from March. While I did take the 6-1, I sure wish I had taken it for more!!
