Wow always stay at the Rio and get comped drinks all the time. Maybe I'm wrong but pretty sure they comp. Yes make sure you tell them what you want to risk. Not what you want to win. If there is a main event always ask the clerk what looks good. Get a little inside to where the money is going. Don't forget to tip when you win.
Have a good one.

The Mirage sportsbook comps drinks. Most of the nicer casinos do. I stayed at the Imperial Palace one year (yeecccch) and don't recall being able to booze for free.
On the flip side, the Palace book was smaller and had much more friendly service. A friend of mine laid a big money line wager on a Michigan football game, and it was kind of cool to watch the manager scurry to the board and change the number on account of his bet. The guys behind the desk at the Mirage are assholes--you better have your bet number and amount ready when you get up there or you'll get bitched at, and don't expect any sympathy if you accidentally give them the wrong number or team."Nobody in football should be called a genius. alot of shit has changed at the books. most books do not comp anymore. they give out drink tickets withyour bet. ie, if you bet st joes for a buck they will probably give you 2 drink tickets. you have to ask for them if the book does tickets or else you are screwed till your next play. the venectian comps drinks to my knowledge and monte carlo used to back in the day. all of the others that i have been too have done the ticket thing. good luckits easy to grin when your ship comes in...
