SweetLou, the public last night had large amounts of money on Syracuse last night. Seemed everybody was on them, result is that they lost
remember one thing, you see all those Vegas casinos in Las Vegas, well they aint going anywhere for anytime soon!!!
The "public" was also on Oklahoma State and Conneticut and they panned out.
Depending on what theory you believe. The casinos don't gamble, they try to take somewhat even action to guarantee a profit. If they gambled, they might not be there that long.

I agree SAVAGE but Nevada isnt in the same league as ALABAMA..........

Bama took out Miss ST on their own home court and blew a huge lead to them on at HOME

Bama played the best SCHEDULE in the COUNTRY...........IMO its not fair to compare Alabama with Nevada

what had Nevada done thats so impressive to warrant any attention tonight?

Gonzaga simply didnt know how to play from behind and became flustered and they defeated a Mich State team who was up on them by almost 20 and Michigan State was very weak this year

Nevada had a nice run but by my estimation tonight they will get handled

I said this in my own thread that Ive lost before and I will lose big again but I just dont see it happening tonight

      PEACE

gbc, if you look at the last 24 times money has pumped that high on a game, like was the case last night and the spread changed moderately to none in a 36 hour period, the public is a disapointing 7-17.

Offcourse the casinos dont gamble, we all know that!! but offcourse you have to agree that most bettors lose money in the long-term. Most bettors like to play favorites, look at stats and trends etc... but still cant seem to come out ahead long term

not sure if you ever went to Vegas,a lot of sharks down there look mainly at 2 things - the amounts of money flowing, and on what team it is being placed. They make a living on using this information

if i tell you the following statement

LAS VEGAS CASINOS ALL MAKE MONEY!!!

so in order for this to be true, the majority of bettors have to lose

its not that easy, but you have to follow that frame of mind, it gets more complicated but thats all i meant

Thats not necessarily true, the house is always guaranteed the VIG... million on one side million on the other side the house still makes 100k the juice on the losers end...

I understand what you are saying, I know how the public likes to bet the favs and everything, how they make lines look attractive to the avg Joe Schmo, but the juice is where i would say that the Guaranteed profit for the books comes in..

I've been following Nevada all year! Ever since they beat Kansas at home. I think they have a shot here!!! Would be great to see a Kansas Nevada rematch
