Today's Pick: MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES
NBA
Toronto vs. Memphis
8:05 EST
Tonight Toronto travels to Memphis to battle the Grizzlies. Toronto comes off a wild one on Sunday when they won 121-120 in overtime in the Big Easy. Tonight they face a Memphis team that plays good defense and is winning. Memphis has played several close games but tonight they bust out with a blowout win. Take MEMPHIS.
The Animal
Today's Pick: NEW ORLEANS HORNETS +6 1/2 -110
NBA
Detroit vs. New Orleans
8:05 EST
You rarely see New Orleans as a home underdog of this magnitude. The Hornets have been favored in 11 consecutive home games. The last time they were a home puppy was coincidentally against Detroit on February 6th. Catching just one point, the Hornets prevailed 92-81 against the Pistons. Of course now Detroit has won and covered eight consecutive games. But asking the hometown Hornets to lose the finale of a four-game home stand by seven points or more might be asking too much. New Orleans is 16-4 ATS at home the last three years if they enter having lost three of their last four (scenario tonight). There?s no question the Pistons are peaking and probably the best team in the east. But you are really paying dearly for their recent success tonight. Too much in the opinion of ?The Animal?. Take the Hornets

Today's Pick: MINNESOTA TIMBERWOLVES
NBA
San Antonio vs. Minnesota
8:05 EST
MINNESOTA (-4) over San Antonio by 11
'Wolves lost 86-106 to the Spurs last Thursday in San Antonio setting up a divisional double-revenge situation that is 176-107 ATS. Play the T'Wolves.

Today's Pick: GEORGE MASON

George Mason vs. Oregon
11:30 EST
Oregon was one of the Pac-10's biggest disappointments this season in a year in which the entire conference was down. With the all-around talents of forward Luke Jackson (21.1 / 7.3 / 4.6), a solid big man that can shoot in Ian Crosswhite (12.6) and two solid senior guards in Davis and Joseph along with an outstandingg freshman (Brooks), the Ducks were NOT expected to go just 9-9 in conference play. The team never recovered from its game vs Stanford on 1/31. Leading by 19 points in the second half, Oregon blew the entire game (lost 83-80!). That loss began an 0-6 pointspread slide at home that didn't end until the Ducks rode Jackson's 40 points to a LUCKY 77-72 OT win vs Colorado in the NIT's First Round (covered as a 4.5-point favorite!). George Mason comes to Oregon tonight off consecutive homecourt wins (and ******) in the NIT over Tenn and Austin Peay, giving the Patriots EIGHT straight ATS wins (7-1 SU, losing the CAA Final to Va Comm, 55-54). With the 6-10 Jai Lewis (14.6 / 7.6) and excellent depth on the perimeter in Davis (13.2), Butler (10.7), Skinn (8.20 and point-guard Reynolds (8.2 / 5.2 apg) the Patriots won't go easy. Of course Jackson is a tough match-up but the Ducks have had that going for them all year with disappointing results. Take the points with George Mason
NIT Pick: Iowa State @ Florida State; Iowa State +9
We know that most fans are concentrating on the Big Dance right now, and our picks for the Sweet Sixteen will be available late tomorrow night, but it seems as though the linesmakers have dropped the ball in the NIT today. How in the world did Iowa State become 9 point dogs playing against the very average Seminoles? This is a bad line, almost as bad as Notre Dame -5.5 against St Louis, which we took full advantage of yesterday.
Florida State won some clutch home games in the ACC this year before falling away badly at the end to close out the regular season with 5 straight losses. Iowa State beat Texas, Kansas, and Xavier and late in the season while the Seminoles were tanking they lost to Oklahoma State by only 8 on the road. Florida State needed double OT to get past Wichita State in the NIT first round. Their best basketball is behind them, and they might lose this one straight-up. Regardless, it is doubtful they will cover and we'll take Iowa State plus the 9 points.sportsbooks that are reliable and safe, and provide comprehensive advice for all gamblers.
NBA Picks
Spurs @ Timberwolves; Spurs +3.5
We were on fire in the NBA on Monday. When the Vegas money rained down on Portland (the line moved during the day from -4 to -7) we told you to buy an umbrella and bet Houston at +7. The Rockets won it in OT by 8. That 15 point differential sums up our opinion of expensive handicapping services that tell their clients to follow lines rather than research statistics and teams. We win. They do not. It is that simple. Our best bet of the day was Indiana to cover against the Bulls. They routed them and our play on the Over won as well. Overall we went 3-0, and loved every minute of it.
Our best bet for today in the NBA is the Spurs plus the points at the Timberwolves. Read why we like San Antonio and get all our free NBA Picks for Tuesday.
Value Dog
Bucks @ Kings; Bucks +11
Our best value bet of the day is Milwaukee plus the points at the Kings. The Bucks are in the midst of an enormous slump, losing 8 of their last 9 including 5 consecutive road losses. Not the best resume to take into Sacramento. However, they won ATS last time out at the Lakers, and showed once again that they are suited to games against free-scoring opponents. The Bucks lost their first game to the Kings by 7, and we expect an even better result for Milwaukee tonight. Sacramento look a little tired right now, and with Brad Miller hurting a lot rests on Divac (who will be sluggish after unusual exertions vs. the Rockets) and Webber, who is very rusty.
In addition this Kings team will be looking forward, along with everyone else, to their meeting with the Lakers on Wednesday. They might let this one slip through their fingers as a result, and we're confident that the shrewd play is to take the 11 points and bet the Dog
