I have been following a trend on halftime lines, and there are some real opportunitys to make some money. It is basically a fade system, but over the last few weeks I would say it is about 70% (at least on the games I have looked at).
For example, the half time line movement on St. Joes, was St. Joes -8, -8.5, -8.5 -$115, -9, -9 -$115. So the play would be on Xavier.
Ohio State and Indiana half time line was a pick and went to Indiana pick -$125, so the play would be Ohio State.
When Duke lost to Georgia Tech at home. I think they were down 8 at halftime. The halftime line was Duke -9 and then -9 -$115 and then -9 -$120. And yes, Tech covered for the second half as well.
I think this is something that is worth looking into. I am not a huge fan of always fading the public, but I think you have to pick your spots. I feel like halftime is a great spot because you have Joe Public pulling the trigger on halftime bets trying to save their ass by hedging a bet that is losing at halftime and they are doing this in a pressure situation without time to really do any research, it is just a gut feeling because they only have a short period of time to place the wager.
Just some food for thought!!
