Not bad.....13-8 on the day, but more importantly, 6-3 on 5* and 4-1 on 3*. PLUS 20.8 UNITS!!!!!

Very easily could have been better, lost both Hawaii and Virginia by a 1/2 point. Just this week, I'm 0-5 in games decided by a 1/2 point. I guess I need to start looking at buying those 1/2 points.....thoughts anyone?

yea, buy the half points and bet flat units. A win for less is better than a loss anyday.

We've debated this issue. Statistically it's a losing prop. Unless you get the 1/2 for free from some offshore sites.

you will find that if you bet enough basketball, you will win and lose many games by a half of a point. That is just part of the gig. You are wasting money in the long haul if you purchase points in basketball. buying points in football on or off key numbers like 3 or 7 is the only time one should buy half a point. Thanks for posting! Looks like a solid "system" based on solid cappers. But we gotta get this thing a name that won't wear you out every time you post it! Here's some suggestions.

.1 Carat system: (.1 Carat diamonds are short (small), EZ to get, and they sparkle)

The Elton John system: (EJ is short, EZ, and he sparkles)

The Hook

I think that I might be in the minority about buying the hook. I only buy the hook to avoid losing. I never buy it to win. (Just me)

In any case, it costs 10% to buy it. I will only buy it when the spread is below 5 points. That way I get the 10% return for the hook. It also reflects that the guys who set the line in hoops are pretty damn good.
