Boomer. Thank you for posting it here. This is the first time I have seen one of his plays. I already like his pick, now I like it even more. While youre sleeping, I'll be watching for both of us. It's 3 hours eariler here which is great for these late games, but lousy for the Saturday and Sunday morning games.

yeah, you were......we had it at -6'. Got snagged by the hook again! That last second layup ended up costing my buddy and I just over a $3500 swing between us. $14 bills on the game and the last part of a $2 bill parlay with UIC.

It's weird, I remember winning maybe 2 games by a half point on some weird play at the end of the game, but there has been about 15 games the past two months where we've lost by a 1/2 point or point.

Gerry was on the right side of this game.....just didn't work out at the end. Good luck today guys, and hope Gerry gets back on track next time. 14-3 is still ok in my book.

Buying the Hook

I remember a pretty lengthy discussion in BC about buying half points. I don't mean to rub salt in the wound, because hook losses suck, buying the hook on a big bet and saving the loss gives you a lot of ammo to fight another day. I know my book allows me to buy the hook in parlays as well as straight bets.

I hope you won't take this the wrong way.

i agree that last night would have saved you if you bought the extra 1/2 but i think what most are saying here is that if you buy on all big bets that actually doesn't save you that much money. thanks for the input!
