Here's a spot for the Ducks that should work like a charm. At home coming off back-to-back straight up wins, Oregon is a profitable 27-13 ATS for 67.5
percent! That's not the best part. If the Ducks are running the floor with
four or more days of rest, this awesome team trend improves to a blistering 15-3 ATS for 83.3 percent! Washington has left Eugene with victories in two of their last three visits. That fact isn't sitting too well with Oregon. Here's one
more trend that supports the Duck side. At home facing a sub .680 foe checking in off back-to-back home games, OU is a sweet 18-5 ATS for 78.2 percent. Off four consecutive ATS losses as a favorite, watch the Ducks finally cash this ticket!

Butler @ Wisconsin-Milwaukee Heading into the ’02-’03 season many experts felt that Wisconsin-Milwaukee was the team to beat in the Horizon Conference. Head Coach Bruce Pearl had his system in place in this, his second year with the Panthers, and he had a veteran squad returning, featuring all five starters from last year. At 13-5, the Panthers season can hardly be considered a disappointment, but this club has a pair of losses in conference already, at Wisconsin-Green Bay last Saturday and at Illinois Chicago two weeks ago. A 3rd loss, this early in the conference campaign, would be very difficult to overcome, especially against Butler, the reigning regular season champs and one of the teams that they’ll have to beat to make it to the top of the Horizon. Wisconsin-Milwaukee is perfect at home this year, 6-0 straight up without a spread loss to show for it. This team took Butler down to the wire twice last year – both meetings between these two schools in 2002 were decided by a single point, one in favor of each school. The way Butler is playing defense right now, this one might not be as close. The Bulldogs have allowed their last five opponents to shoot better than 50% from the field against them, struggling with both their perimeter defense and their transition D. And they have stopped covering pointspreads as a result, losing three out of four against the number. This is a spot where Wisconsin-Milwaukee should bring their best game, and stake their claim for conference supremacy. Recommendation: Wisconsin-Milwaukee- Pick

Youngstown St. +6 v. Detroit The Horizon League is notorious for strong home courts. Consider the following numbers from this season's hoop play. Overall Horizon League home teams have posted a stellar 52-15 mark at home and just a 28-52 road record. When we eliminate Butler and Wisconsin-Milwaukee from the mix, that road record falls to 12-48. Combined the other seven teams have won just 12 games away from their home arenas. Detroit is laying too much. The talent is close and the home court is enough of an edge to get us the cover. Recommendation: Youngstown St.

THE ANIMAL
Pro Basketball:
3 Units on Dallas Mavericks O 196½ -110
On Tuesday, Dallas scored 107 points against Houston despite only connecting on 41.9% of their field goal opportunities. This is an amazing team. Last Friday they scored 106 at Phoenix and only hit 38.3% from the floor. One of the reasons is because they nail a record-shattering 83% of their free throws (most individuals aren’t that accurate let alone a team). Dallas has surpassed the century plateau in points scored in 8/12 games recently. Meanwhile the identity of Philadelphia has changed significantly since last year’s off-season trade with New Jersey. 76ers have gone ‘OVER’ the total in 6/9 recently and have allowed 99 or more points in 8/10. Dallas shut it down early on offense when they disposed of Philly 102-83 in Texas back on January 4th. But after losing three of their last four, we don’t expect Dallas to close up shop early tonight on ‘O’.! Dallas has averaged 106 in their last two visits to Philly when those 76ers teams played terrific ‘D’. Philadelphia is an amazing 10-1 ‘OVER’ the total against opponents with winning records this year. The 76ers are an amazing 17-5 ‘OVER’ at home this year and 8/10 in this series have shattered the total. Dallas is 30-14 ‘OVER’ the last three years after being listed a favorite for three consecutive games. We expect all of these trends to continue tonight. 3* on the ‘OVER’ between Mavericks and 76ers.
