Scary as it is thinking of senior night/day and the back door cover lay down scenario as usually happens in blow out games. I will try this one as:

NOW DID I MENTION these were ON THE ROAD??

St. Johns last 3 home games they have LOST by and to:

LOST to UCONN by 18

ACTUALLY BEAT Georgetown by 7 points (remember how bad I said the Hoyas really are this year despite the 10-0 record start vs the All girls non conference schedule they played)

LOST to Boston College by 27!

The AVERAGE numbers no longer work in comparisons due to all the St. Johns starters that were suspended....so......I will have to give the ROADIES FROM ISLANDS a shot here!

When you check out the Boilermakers everyone has them on the "bubble" with many saying they are out without another win or two.......given their strength of schedule is is anywhere between 75 and 90 depending on what site you check.

What I find interesting is they HAVE NOT LOST to a Big Ten team by more than 7 points since the 2nd week of January! That includes Michigan and Michigan St.......Hell....they even BEAT Illinois and Duke on the road.

THAT and their Big Man center Kartello was arrested in a bar fight after the last game with Minn....that normally suspends someone instantaneously......TODAY'S game is such a MUST WIN (Purdue already beat Wiscy at Purdue by 2) that KARTELLO WILL ONLY SIT FOR A PORTION OF THE GAME that being the latest news release. I CAN'T believe they would let him play but apparently Coachs choice.

Wiscy has been beating teams by double digits but then they lost their point guard Tucker and they have not been close to the same smooth team that was beating teams with ease.

I also look for it to be low scoring as well.

GIVEN ALL THIS CRAP.........I will have a play on PURDUE +9

The last 3 home wins for Wiscy were:
PENN ST
OHIO ST
MINNESOTA

Arguably the 3 worst teams in the conference.

Then their previous wins prior to that were over MICH ST & ILL (who is a horrendous road team themselves) as you alluded to.

PURDUE is the only team of this group who is capable of playing the maddenly slow down possession game......play in your face....you take your one shot and they crash the glass for the rebound and when Purdue misses their shots they will be back on defense ASAP to burn more possession clock If Wiscy can shoot hot from the field then this will be a loss.....If Purdue can win the transition game then the Boilers will Kover..but Purdue will try to never let them play in a rhythm today.

Make no mistake about it......I firmly believe Wiscy WILL WIN THIS GAME and Purdues chances of that are slim to none....but close at the end is all its about.

For the rest of day!! Looks like Wiscy has hit their 3s which is not good! A COUPLE of other plays I have for the day are:

HAWAII -4
Let's see.....Rice is not a great road team (who is really) and they barely beat SJST the WORST team by a couple of points.....HAWAII just beat Tulsa by 30 and Rice LOST to Tulsa and Rice is on the Road at Hawaii! Rice has hardly ever gets an ATS win on the road.....their record is God awful like 7 ATS wins in the last 3 1/2 years!!! Shimmannnoocviichhhidsoonvdiiichhhh IS healthy again and showing it and I think the travel will bite Rice in this game late to cover from the free throw line!

IONA -7
Iona is so bad that they are probably the only team that has been a SINGLE digit FAVORITE over LOYOLA MD......THAT'S HOW BAD the Greyhoulds are!! A seven point underdog for Loyola is like a win for them!! Just ask MARIST!! Iona has been missing their top scorer for a bit now but seems to have gotten over that. Take the Gaels over the "Dogs" (sorry Memphis)!

Smaller bet:

KENTUCKY -5
With LSU's leading scorer and double double man gone....they went from a favorite to only a +5.....Like to make this a bigger bet but the home crowd and Kentucky's road troubles do worry me a bit or this would be a bigger bet.

Better to lose to the spread by 27 than by 1 because of a stupid garbage time foul. This way I turned off the TV and did other things. As it is, all we lost is the juice so far and the Iona play is looking good. I had already played Kentucky and Rice but never even looked at the Iona game. I'm getting redundant, but thanks again for posting.

I was going to play St. Mary's but I didn't like the way they played losing to Lloyla-Marymount and 8 points seemed too many to give to Pepperdine, who have been playing much better, covering 4 of the last 5. First time I didn't play St. Marys at home this year, although the ATS outcome is still in doubt.

It seems what I am hearing is that almost every service is on NSCT big time.....(ditto with Flor St which is starting to make Duke a play for me)....I orignially liked them but with that now it makes it a no play.......BUT one play I do like on it is:

These two can BOTH light it up from 3 land plus they will be at full speed on both ends of the court....I see it coming down to a close game at the end which means about a full minutes of panic fouling WHICHEVER team is behind....a type game like 82 - 77 would not surprise me at all! I am just going to cheer for BOTH teams!!
