The NCAA is getting close to passing legislation that would ban athletic departments from publishing media guides . The thinking is some schools have went way over the top in using them as recruiting tools . If a fly was on the wall I can hear something like this :

" You know what , once we have taken care of these informational books (then) we`ll look at the cheaters , miscreants , criminals , and strippers permeating our programs "
