Orioles over 81.5 could be tough.

They play the Yanks, Sox, and B Jays over 50 games combined. All 3 of those teams are better than Baltimore, whose pitching is questionable at best.

        I like KC over 80.

I don't think Toronto is in any way clearly better than Baltimore. After Halladay there isn't much. I made the wager thinking yes they might struggle with Boston & NY BUT they should get the better of the schedule after that. JMO THOUGH! :D

              I like:

DBacks under (BC, why you like over?)

              Phils under- tough division

              Mets under

I cant believe these lines, there are going to be 4 or 5 unders that hit easy and large..not all teams willwin 80 games this year.

                wallstreet,

Arizona added Roberto Alomar & Richie Sexson

They lost Schilling, but have a Gem in Brendon Webb who was a rookie last year and I believe Johnson will do much better this season.

Webb record was only 10-9, but he had a 2.84 ERA, 180.2 innings pitched, 172 k's, 68 BB and batters only hit .212 against him.

                Schilling went 8-9 2.95 ERA, 168 IP, 194 K's, 32 BB & Batters only hit .230 against him.

                Losing Batista wasn't much IMO.

Yet Arizona managed to win 84 games last year. I think Hillenbrand will adjust to the NL better this year too.

I also look for Spivey to have a much better year as he was hurt a lot last year.

They could have kept Mondesi, but didn't.

Now if Gonzalez ends up missing the season then no way would I play this as it would be too risky.

                  Sorry Wayne

Red Sox under 96.5..........it might just be the Yankee in me but last year they had 4 or 5 guys with career years hitting. I know they added Schilling but Martinez is good for a 2 15 day DL stints and Lowe is way overated. But then again I love the Yankees so it might just be me with very wishful thinking :D

                  Also like............

                    The Yankees line-up

You look at numbers 1 thru 8 and think

                    " Oh My God "

....... speaking of which I hear Stienbrenners trying to sign him for the ninth spot ?

I am going to cheat a little bit and use my lines not what is posted here.
WWTS has Yanks at 102 and Rangers at 71.
Even though I am biased, I am going to say under NY 102.
Yanks added some very good players, BUT the loss of Clemens, Pettitte, Wells and very importantly Nick Johnson and Soriano will be sorely(iano) missed.
There is such a thing as chemistry, and this "Frankenstein" team made up with many new parts and especially new pitchers may not run as smoothly as you think.
I am also going to say believe it or not that Texas with ARod gone and Soriano replacing him will actually play better-you might call it reverse logic or just a hunch.

Savage..............you must agree with me than on the Red Sox under because their chemistry couldn't be any worse. Manny and Nomar might say they don't care about the trade rumors but deep down it has to hurt them. I agree Johnson will be missed for his defense at first but Soriano, who strikes out and makes more errors than A-Rod will not be missed. I loved Soriano but this trade makes the Yankees line-up way better. I just hope Toronto and Baltimore don't leap frog your Red Sox because I love when the Yanks spoil thier season Good luck!

Tony-I probably would play BoSox under and over on Balt. and Toronto.
I still think that getting all those Yankee players to blend in together plus replacing three great pitchers is going to be a bigger problem than many think with our withour ARod.
That total jumped from 100 to 102 based on many people playing them, and you know what public perception means.
I have the Sox at 6.5 to 1 to win WS( double what it is now), and I feel If(a huge if) Nomar, Manny, the other players and of course Schilling and Faulke perform up to expectations, they will give Yankees a big run for their money.
