Thursday NCAA Hoops.........
These are my plays for Thursday night..........
3 STAR: St. Peters (+2.5) OVER CANISIUS
St. Peters is 4-1 straight up and against the spread versus Canisius over the last 3 seasons and Canisius is 13-27 against the spread as a favorite since 1997. St. Petes wins this one!
3 STAR: Western Kentucky (+1) OVER ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK
Western Kentucky has owned this series winning ten straight meetings and going 8-2 against the spread in those games. I'll take them here again until Little Rock proves they can beat them.
2 STAR: Weber St. (+1) OVER SACRAMENTO ST
Same as above. Weber State has owned this series winning ten straight meetings. Again, I'll take them here until Sacramento proves they can beat them. Weber State is also 15-5 against the spread in February games since 1997.
2 STAR: Arizona (-2.5) OVER OREGON
This is a gut feeling play. Arizona is the more talented team and I think Lute Olsen has them focused for this road game. I'll lay the small number here.
1 STAR: North Texas (+7.5) OVER DENVER
North Texas is 10-3 against the spread when playing against a team with a winning record this season and 4-1 against the spread versus Denver over the last 3 season. Take the points, the Mean Green could win here straight up!
1 STAR: Arizona St (+2) OVER OREGON STATE
Another one sided series. Arizona State is 9-1 straight up in the last ten meetings with the Beavers. Oregon State is only 3-13 against the sprad as a home favorite of 3 points or less since 1997. I'll take the Sun Devils here!
