and travis lee, he was clearly the major pick up they needed in the offseason, scott boras should just move to new york, half his clients are yankees now
Somehow my gut feeling tells me that the more people Georgie signs, the less likely it is to work;you know the old saying "Too many cooks spoil the broth."
It sort of reminds me of that famous scene in Starwars where all of the completely different folks from different places are sitting around the bar discussing things.
Personally, I think this is more about Georgie and being the center of attention than anything else.

Back to the market? Is it conceivable?
"Our group is so committed to the fan base of the New York Yankees, I don't know what's next for us," Cashman, the Yankees general manager, said soon after his deal with the Rangers became official. "We're always looking and driving."
Yes, even with A-Rod in the House That Ruth Built, the Yankees are not ruling out further moves in the quest for their first World Series championship since 2000 -- and 27th in their history.
"We're a very aggressive, intelligent, well-oiled machine that operates under George Steinbrenner's guidelines and in his culture," Cashman said. "If there is an opportunity that makes sense, we'll at the very least explore it."
Two significant needy areas remain on the team's roster: Second base, vacated by Alfonso Soriano in the Rodriguez deal, and first base, where Jason Giambi's tenuous knees could use more formidable support than that offered by Tony Clark.
Cashman reiterated that Enrique Wilson and Miguel Cairo, erstwhile candidates to succeed Aaron Boone at third base, now become the top choices at second.
The general manager's recent pursuit of free-agent first baseman Travis Lee has been well known. And reports have surfaced free-agent pitcher Greg Maddux has emerged as possibly another option for the starting rotation.
Cashman shot down the rumors involving Maddux, who shares his agent, Scott Boras, with Rodriguez.
"We are not involved with Greg Maddux," the GM said.
As for other possible moves, Steinbrenner always keeps his organization's foot in the door of opportunity.
"He belongs in a Hall of Fame all of his own for the attitude he brings on a daily basis," Cashman said.

I'll make a brave prediction-if Georgie adds Maddux and a few more players, it will be too much, and players won't be able to blend together;as I stated before, "Too many cooks spoil the broth" and more appropriately from my recollection of economics 101, there is a point of diminishing returns ,and Georgie is fast closing in on that.
With all the new additions to the team, George has added too many number 1s and too many new faces into the hardest city to play in and the hardest team to play for. It will take awhile for them to gel and there will be egos flaring. The best team he had was with Paul O'neill and Tino Martinez and the rest of the bnch because they all played together long enough to learn each others habits and they all gelled quite well. Sometimes an all star cast like he has does not always work well as they will be under pressure the entire year to win it all. My Prediction... they lose in the ALCS Anaheim goes to the world series from the AL
