A loser last night with Orlando, this is my play for today....
3 STAR: Los Angeles (-6) OVER LAS VEGAS
I was very impressed with LA last week in their win at Arizona. I look for them the get the job done here against the Gladiators who dropped their opener last week at Colorado by allowing two touchdowns in the last :20 seconds of the game. The Avengers have been very good on the road, winning 9 out of their last 13 road games and they are 12-4 against the spread in their last 16 road games, including 4-0 as a road favorite of 3.5 to 7 points. The Gladiator defense should have all kinds of trouble slowing down the LA attack. Avenger quarterback Tony Graziani was on fire last week against the Rattlers and last season against Vegas he posted a passer rating of 158.3, which is the highest mark possible and ties an AFL record. Las Vegas has not held much of a home field advantage over their opponents only posting a 14-30 record against the spread at home since 1996 and they are 2-7 against the spread in that span as a home underdog of 3.5 to 7 points. I'll lay the points here, this could be a blowout!
