how did it work? why was it taken away?

i hope i have been here long enough that BC abd everyone else knows although i am being nosey, i am not trying to start trouble, so i am prepared to be told to mind my own business

I think some services were using them to try and get customers or people were tryin to get people to other chats or something so they got disabled.
