Small card for Friday night with the NBA on the All-STar break. This is what I am playing tonight.....
NCAA Hoops
5 STAR: Princeton (Pick) OVER CORNELL
A road weekend for Princeton as they battle Cornell and Columbia in back to back nights, and tonight's game against Cornell is one of the biggest games in the Ivy League this season. This is an almost must win for the Tigers, coming off of a loss to Penn. A win at Cornell Friday would leave Princeton as the only Ivy team with just one league loss. A Cornell win could leave the Tigers as potentially one of three teams with two league losses. Cornell has had a very good season so far, going 5-1 in Ivy League play, but they have had no success against the Tigers in the past. Princeton has owned the Big Red, posting a 19-1 record against Cornell the last 10 seasons and a 27-3 record against the Big Red in the last 15 seasons and the Tigers have won nine of their last 10 games at Newman Arena. The average margin of victory in those nine wins is better than 15 points per game. Also, Princeton has swept its road weekend with Cornell and Columbia nine of the last 10 years and 12 of the last 15 seasons. I look for more of the same here as the Tiger defense should handle the Big Red. Princeton ranks second in Division I in scoring defense at 55.2 points per game and 24th and the Tigers are holding their opponents to 35% shooting in Ivy League play. The Tigers have held those opponents to 40% or worse shooting in nine of the ten halves in those five league games. I look for the Tigers to get the win here!

2 STAR: ORLANDO (-9.5) OVER Austin
This is a tough spot for the Austin Wranglers. It is the home opener for Orlando who already has a game under their belt this season, last week losing to the defending champs at Tampa Bay, 52-41. Austin is an expansion team that had a bye in week one. This is their first game in the league, on the road, with a rookie head coach. Orlando is one of the top defensive teams in the league and they should do a good job controlling the Wranglers offense. Lay the points here!
