On paper, the New Orleans Saints (13-3 SU, 11-5 ATS) hosting the Minnesota Vikings (10-6 SU, 9-7 ATS) looks like the best of the four Wild Card Weekend games. However, the Saints are hefty 8-point home favorites at press time with a total of 49. The action takes place Sunday at 1:05 PM ET on Fox.

Minnesota’s NFL odds may be a bit long after they lost 21-19 to the Chicago Bears in last Sunday’s regular-season finale. However, that was a meaningless game for the Vikings, and they still covered as 4-point home dogs despite resting most of their starters. The Saints played their first unit against the Carolina Panthers (+14 at home) in an effort to secure a first-round bye, but they fell to the No. 3 seed despite winning 42-10.
This Sunday’s Wild Card game is a rematch of their epic Divisional Round battle two years ago, which Minnesota (–4 at home) won 29-24 on a game-ending 61-yard touchdown pass from Case Keenum to Stefon Diggs. This season’s Vikings aren’t quite as good on either side of the ball. The Saints have taken a step back, too, but at least their special teams are in better shape this year.
