NBA System Play(s) for Monday..........
Actually playing two games from my system tonight.....
5 STAR: HOUSTON (PICK) OVER San Antonio
San Antonio has won 20 of its past 22 games against the Rockets. The Spurs are also on a four-game win streak, including three in a row straight up and against the spread on the road including an impressive National TV win over the Sacramento Kings at Arco Arena, and yet the Rockets opened up as a 1.5 point chalk? Okay, I'll bite. The Rockets have played some of their best basketball and have some of their biggest wins of the season when playing on National TV. If you wait on this, there is no doubt in my mind that the Spurs will be laying points by tip off. Look for Van Gundy's boys to get the win here!
3 STAR: CLEVELAND (-3.5) OVER Boston
Another line that looks a bit odd, considering the dominance that Boston has displayed over the Cavs in the past. Boston is 11-0 straight up against Cleveland over the last three seasons and 8-3 against the spread in those games and we have Cleveland laying points in this game. Boston is coming off of an upset win as a road underdog at Philadelphia, but they are only 3-7 against the spread following an upset win as an underdog. Cleveland is coming off of an upset loss as a home favorite against Washington, but the Cavs have responded well in this spot going 3-0 against the spread this year and 10-2 against the spread the last three seasons after a loss as a favorite. My system rates this play very high also, so I'll bite on this one too and lay the points!
