What is up, BettorsChat! I was feeling a little nostalgic. Living in the Age of Trump can make one long for the good old days... among a host of many other side effects.
It's been about 5 years. Just wondering how everyone is doing... I remember Mods like Sparky but I don't see any posts from him here... or most of the other users that I knew. Maybe everyone lost their money!
Anyway, I'm on these two games today. Below is my selection for Game 1:
Miami Florida +7 1 unit
As with every season, the Top 25 teams will see a handful of their ranks fail to cover and even lose outright. The rankings are comprised of a critique of recruiting and reports from camps but it is at this point in the season also based largely on public perception and the carryover from last year's Final Rankings. There's always value to be had in the first week. I supposed one could argue that there isn't much value fading a Top 10 team and only receiving a TD in the process, but... of the top 10 teams in the country, I'm of the camp that believe Florida is probably the most likely to be the fraudulent one of this bunch. Let's take a shot with the 'Canes for 1 unit.
I'll be going to the Arizona-Hawai'i game later. Sad to see the total drop from a delicious 74 to a more accurate 71.5. I admit I got greedy and expected/ hoped it would continue to increase as the week wore on. I'm expecting a little bump up from that as kick-off approaches. I waited this long... might as well continue to wait and hope it gets back up to 72/72.5/73.
