  • Board Moderator.... Isn't the frankb03 post

that makes mention of lvwiseguys.com in the wrong forum? This is, a form of promotion/advertising, correct?

We all have to abide by the same regulations that are set forth here, is what I'm saying here.

I can understand your thinking that my post was a form of advertising. I can assure you that it's NOT!. I believe the record they have posted at their website is BS. No one can hit in excess of 70% in all sports for a season.

It's nothing personal, Frank...The record being BS or not, isn't the issue here. The simple fact. that the .com site etc. is listed and being discussed in this forum, is direct Free publicity/advertising for them. I could easily have someone do the exact same thing for me, and before long that's all we would see here...so-called clients ringing the praises of Services.

Enough said. Good luck with the remainder of the Basketball season.

Me and BC have talked about this and we feel that ALL conversations started about ANY particular service should be in the service forum.

So yes you are right. We have moved a couple there. Free service picks are fine in All Sports Discussion but the Conversations about Services are not something alot of people want to see in their forum!

It's BC's forum and you are its monitor I respect your decision to move the other thread. The intention of the thread was not to promote/advertise a service. I apologize that it was interperted as such. The purpose of my thread was too many newbies make their first posts in the services thread with inaccurate claims about services.

In the future I will refrain from starting a thread about a particular service. While, at the same time trying to expose a service for what I feel they are. A fraud!

Frank that's fine to expose them and so on but many members here that post simply don't give two shits about services and never care to look at those threads. If people want to talk or shit on a particular service than it's only a click away in the Service forum. Newbies will catch on.

As I stated! Its BC's site and you are its moderator. The ultimate decision is yours. I'll agree there's members who 'don't give two shits'. There are also members who do give a shit. My posts on services, pro and con, have been some of the most participated and viewed threads. Is it a case of the sqeeky wheel getting the oil? Obviously, the anti-service member's posters are not going to complain.

IMO, as this site continues to promote the quality of the selections from its members. Urging other members to play those picks instead of service picks. If we stop 'exposing' the services for what they are, FRUADS. This site will be 'infiltrated' with members doing nothing but requesting service picks. We need to continue to spread the word for players to avoid the services. Also, the Service's forum doesn't get the exposure this forum does. Exposing the services in that forum won't get the point across to the newbies. I spend 99% of my time in this forum. I'm certain most members do.

One final point! Yes you are correct! The Sports services forum 'is only a click away'. Those members who don't give a shit about the service 'bashing' threads are also a click away from exiting those threads who's content they disagree. By your own admission they 'never care to look at those threads'. Does that mean the other members don't have the priviliges of making those threads?

You are the monitor. You get the last word. I will honor your request and will NOT post another reply in this thread. If you care to continue this debate I'll gladly do so via email so we don't have to bore the other members.

Frank all i can say is this. There is no such thing as bad publicity. If they are on both Forums good or bad their being talked about and they love it. They have their own Forum for a reason and that is so people can go there if their interested in a Service. We have All Sports Discussion for Us, the members and some of us appreciate not seeing it sit at the top of our Forum. If people are interested in Services then they know where the forum is.

                  Thanks and GL

I said I wouldn't post a reply. I'm very compelled to do so because you are 100% correct and I agree with your statement above 110%

One final word. I appreciate what BC, you and the other members do to make this a GREAT forum.

ENUFF said! Let's let this thread fade away!

                    GL and good-night.
