10* Boston College (-8.5) vs. St. Johns-------->Unfortunately, i am going to assume by the time most of you get this, the line will be 9 , or maybe even up to 10.........I do not really understand why they even put a line on this...........St, johns was already the worst team in the league, now it is without its 2 best scorers, 3 of its top 5 rebounders, and without its best defenders (if you could call them that in the furst place).............5 players were suspended, 3 seniors, leaving only 8 players total with some being walk-ons..............now add the fact that they are 5-14 overall with wins over stony brook, st francia of new york, holy cross, niagra, and ucla when they were completely healthy...........there is even talk about this program taking off a year............how are they supposed to keep this game in single digits??? BC is an average team fighting for their tournament lives but has played well in their last 6............although they are just 3-3, in all 3 losses they had good chances to win with a closs losses to Uconn and wva (who is decent at home) and a 10 point loss at pitt where they led at half and then were tied late in the game..........the only thing that scares me here is that pitt was in a similar spot last year vs. villanova and played only to win, not covering the spread, but that villanova team had much better players and their suspensions served to inspire the rest of the team..........i do not see that happening here and think BC blows st. johns out
on a side note, if it were not for an overall 8-2 day yesterday, i would probably not find as much humor in the 7* thing as i do............i am only up this late because i was waiting to see is pacific could break the jinx...........i had them -9.5 and they were winning by 12-16 the whole second half and won by 9.........so should i just stop posting the 7*'s?????????
