Conference championship week, with scheduling stragglers (the orphaned Big 12, SunBelt) always makes an interesting week as now we can only focus on a few games instead of the every week gamut of the all-too-short college football season. The Broncos need to boost their chances to get to a Cotton Bowl berth by beating up on East Division foes Ohio, who've they've handled without issue during this era (49-14 last yr, 42-14 in '14). Kalamazoo will travel to Detroit, moreso than the hillbillies from Athens...Hillbilly bash at the Mountaineer tavern this weekend as Mounties will look to avenge Baylor's last minute touchdown-in-yer-face bully job from '15. The Bears havent won recently, but they haven't exactly quit and will do everything in its power to put up 5 touchdowns in front of the drunkardly slurs at Morgantown...What was Aztecs "holding back" for in a mere "meaningless scrimmage" versus CSU last week? The Rams came into the contest needing a win to become bowl bound, their offence had been on a roll, but SDSU was sporting one of the best defences in the nation before the debacle. Now they have to climb the 7400 foot hill at Laramie in the FRIGID night air and see if they can finish off the race for the conference crown; they barely looked like they wanted to play in a flimsy little rain shower at home last Saturday!
