NO....Not a "homer" Pick (sorry homer :tongue: ). I know Carolina has destiny and they have Won on the road and so on. I'm not buying into it and maybe it's cause after watching N.E. week after week i can't go against this team right now. I'm not saying Carolina can't cover the number here but i think experience speaks volume's in this game. To me the scariest thing about the Panthers is their front line on Defense. I'm afraid if they control the line and get to Brady then N.E. could be in trouble.
I don't think that will happen. N.E. is talking about spreading Carolina out with multiple receiver sets and if that happens i see a BIG Patriots advantage there. Carolina has had a GREAT Season but i just don't think this will be anything more than the Chargers or Falcons of years past. A great run but the lack of being there before will hurt them.
Carolina's Defense has been very good but they have given up 20 or more points in 10 of 19 games this year. N.E. has given up 20 or more 6 times and that was against (IMO) a much tougher schedule.
Belichick,Crennel, and Weis.......... The head coach has to be considered at the top of the list right now without a doubt. The most prepared and best game planner in the league right now. After that you have probably one of the top two offensive AND Defensive coordinator's. It's really hard to go against the 3 Amigos there and you have to feel pretty good about having them on your side.
Jake Delhomme has played well but you simply can't compare him to what Brady has done including a Super Bowl MVP Trophy on his mantle already.
If Football games are based on QB's and Defense like most are, than you can't overlook an advantage with Brady on offense. On Defense you have Belichick and Crennel putting together what you know will be a brilliant scheme to mess with the young Delhomme and people like Ty "Proven" Law and Rodney "Hard Hitting" Harrison to carry out the plan. Don't forget Ted Washington holding down 2 spots on the D-Line.
What the hell i could be wrong, it is gambling but if you remove the word "Destiny" i don't know how Carolina Wins!
