NFL Betting Predictions Against the Spread: Dallas Cowboys vs. Green Bay Packers Preview & Game Analysis for Sunday, October 16, 2016
Location: Lambeau Field — Green Bay, Wisconsin

      Gametime: 4:25 PM ET

Opening Betting Line: Green Bay-4 Opening Betting Total: 47

Current Betting Line: Green Bay-4.5 Current Betting Total: 47.5

NFL betting picks insiders preview the 4-1 Dallas Cowboys who travel to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers in a match up that will showcase the best rushing team in the NFL against the leagues top defensive team against the run. The Cowboy’s rookie running back Ezekiel Elliott who was the the fourth overall pick of the 2016 NFL draft has lived up to all the expectations leading the league with 546 yards. Elliot is coming off a stellar performance with 134 yards and two touchdowns as Dallas won its fourth game in a row against the Cincinnati Bengalis straight last Sunday. The rookie is averaging 5.01 yards per carry but will be tested against the Packers who are only giving up a stingy 2.0 per yards per attempt and a meager 42.8 per game.

The Cowboys other surprise rookie quarterback Dak Prescott has been nothing short of sensational throwing for 1,239 yards on 69 percent with four touchdowns and currently is on a streak of 155 pass attempts without an interception which is a rookie record. Prescott has been doing all this without the services of Dez Bryant who practiced this week but will be questionable for this game while the beneficiary of his absence has been slot receiver Cole Beasley who leads the Cowboys with 27 rceptions and 332 yards.

The Packers offense is been surprisingly inconsistent behind the subpar play of Arron Rodgers who only has a 56.1 completion percentage compared to his 65.9 percent average over the past 7 years which is why Green Bay is ranked 27th-ranked in pass offense. Rodgers will have to pick it up this week as both running backs Eddie Lacy and James Starks are doubtful this week which means the un drafted rookie back Don Jackson might have to take over the duties.

      WHO WILL WIN?

NFL expert picks insiders report that this will be a game of strength on strength and something has to give. The Cowboys have the best offesnsive line in Pro Football and we look for that to continue as Prescott will give them a dual threat f any plays break down. Green Bay held the Giants to a total of 219 yards and sacked Manning three times but we look for Prescott and the Cowboys to keep the chain moving as they have done all season. The concern in this game if the Cowboy defense that played well last week but has had trouble against the pass this season. The key to this game will be Arron Rodgers who will have to get back to his old self and make big plays without his running back tandem. The betting line is Packers minus four points which we think is too much to give this dominant offensive line who will control the time of possession and move the chains. Detroit, Jacksonville and Minnesota were all able to put points on the board against the Packers and the Cowboys will be the next in line to do the same as this game will come down the last possession.
