College basketball:

my best bet of the day in college hoops:
VANDERBILT (-5) over South Carolina

I am taking the home Commodores (for a rare best bet: which I play at 1.5 times my normal wager) over the 24th ranked Gamecocks.
I bet S. Carolina (-6 1/2) over LSU last Saturday and lost by a half point as the Gamecocks edged the Tigers 61-55.
However, I was not impressed with S. Carolina at all. They tried to impress their home crowd and missed numerous three pointers (1-23 for the game), tried fancy passes, had two technicals, shot 38% from the field (21-55) and 62% from the free throw line (18-29).
Anyway, a team's last game is not always indicative of how they will play.........but I really like Vandy at home and after losing three of their last four games........look for the (now unranked)Commodores to come out strong and put a hurting on the 24th ranked Gamecocks!.........similar to what they did to Florida two Saturdays ago.

I took S. Carolina last Saturday versus LSU and lost by a 1/2 point.
Now........I go against them and of course they win.

Sickening loss again for Vandy........up 15-8 early and by 4 points at the half...........in the 2nd half (and all game for that matter)they just couldn't get enough shot attemps and that usually does not happen to them at home.
