  • Free Golf Selection 39-9 in 2002

This free pick for the Hawaiian Sony Open is brought to you by the Hunter News & Sports Group in Las Vegas. We went a monitored 39 wins and only 9 losses in 2002. We began the new year of 2003 with a winner.

Retief Goosen defeated Bob Estes to start our PGA Tour in the Mercedes Open. Golf wagering may be new to you and many books will not accept plays because of one thing. You stand a better chance to win. No teams, no
refs with bad calls. Just one professional golfer against another.

The selection need not win the tournament. Merely win his match by shooting lower. Unlike football, basket and baseball, the higher score loses.
The rules: Once your player tees off, you have action. If both players make the 36-hole "cut" (from 140 players to 72 and ties) the lowest score wins.
If your opponent is "cut" after Friday's 36 holes, you win merely by showing up to tee of Saturday (and vice-versa). "Instant Death" is a playoff of 3 or more players. If our selection is involved with the opponent, either golfer must win the playoff to win the match-up, otherwise its a refund. Remember, to win we must shoot the lowest score of the "match-up."

OUR FREE PICK IS CHRIS RILEY (6706 Betting # in Vegas at -135 OVER LOREN ROBERTS (6705) +105.

YOUR "GREEN" IS JUST DOWN THE FAIRWAY!

I've never really wagered on golf, anyone here do it on a consistent basis? I've heard it can be easier to win but I find that hard to believe. I follow the pga tour pretty closely just because I enjoy golf but never felt inclined to put money on it. Also, any reliable golf handicappers out there?

First time for me to wager on Golf was with the above group and they hit with Goosen over Estes. Will be playing this free selection as well.

I used to handicap golf a little, but I play much more and pay attention to these guys. One thing to pay attention to is small things like sponser changes because these guys might have to change equipment and it could affect there game, of course if you're Tiger you can play with anything and win.

As for the free pick above, I like it. Chris Riley just played last week against a pretty good field and finished tied for 6th. He also finished higher than Loren did last year at this tourny. This looks like a solid pick. Riley is playing much more solidly than Loren is right now, especially with it being the first part of the year.

One of the better ways to handicap golf is go back and look at past history for the individual and that course. Some times it doesn't matter if that person is having a mediocre year, they get to a course they love and they finish in the top 10.

I talked to Ron a few weeks ago and he gave me Goosens as a comp play which won.

His record of 39-8 last year was outstanding.

Pro Sports Book, a sponsor of this site, still has Riley listed at -1.40 over Roberts. They are also still accepting new clients! How's that for free advertising Monte?

                    Bookies' switch in golf matchup.

I talked to Ron and he said:

"Do not play against Chris DeMarco. He loves the Bermuda Grass and in the original matchup is up against Sergio Garcia, a far more seasoned player than Riley, 4 years out of UNLV. Basically a tour rookie. But I think Riley can beat Roberts as he did last week in Maui. Demarco can expload at anytime and shoot lights out!"

Everyone should realize that Ron's releases are odd-movers, with big money onto his releases. The only way to take advantage of this is to bet early. Members of Ron's service can do this.

Hope you all got the original matchup before the "fix" by the bookies went into effect.

                        PhilJr,

There not a sponsor of this site anymore.

Vegas Intl. I believe still has the correct matchup. MVPsportsbook may have the right matchup too.

Only play the free play if its listed vs. the correct player.

What happens if one golfer makes the cut and the other one does'nt. Is it a win, or push, or do they both have to play 4 days?
Also, what do the picks cost every week? Do you have to lay big $$$ to pay for your pick?
One more and I got to go
