  • A Look Back of NFL Week 4

Carolina Panthers...Carolina, a team with solid defense, good quarterback play, yesterday actually looked explosive at times on offense. They lack of big plays have been a draw back for this team in the past, yesterday this was not the case. Continued playmaking on offense can make Carolina a force to be reckon with.

Green Bay Packers...Now I know San Francisco is no longer a strong opponent, but consider that fact that the Pack, on a short week, and all banged up, played extremely well on the road in this game.

New York Jets.... First game on the board yesterday played in London saw Todd Bowles Jets play outstanding vs a Miami team that desperately was seeking a win. The Jet defense looked fantastic, and on offense, considering they do not have a 1st rate qb, they looked really good running the football with Ivory, and finding Decker and Marshall in key passing situations.

New York Giants ...In what turned out to be a lopsided road victory @ Orchard Park vs Bills, G men played a all around impressive game on both sides of the ball. What I thought was most impressive was the job done by Eli Manning offensive line which controlled a very good Buffalo front seven.

St.Louis Rams...This was a very impressive win on the road against a undefeated Arizona team. In watching this game , you can see why the Rams have a outstanding record vs division opponents. So far this year they have won @ home vs Seattle, and now on the road yesterday @ Arizona in what was defintely their best game played so far in 2015. The defense flys to the ball and creates turnovers, on offense Nick Foles can find targets down field. This is a improvement over the often injured qb who now plays in Philly. Gurley ran the ball yesterday, and let me tell you , he is a BEAST! You are going to want to keep a eye on the Rams. Make it official, they are for real.

Atlanta Falcons.... Some thought with the Houston Texans needing a win in the worst way, and getting their key running back healthy for yesterday's matchup, that the Falcons would be in for a tough game. Did not look that way the me, as Atlanta continue's to roll, and did very impressively yesterday.

    Who was yesterday's big losers?

Miami Dolphins....This team is in big trouble. Expectations were high before the season, and there was no improvement yesterday, in fact , the Jets made Miami look really bad. This was suppose to be the day that Miami's defense would shine because they were now going to unleash All Pro defensive lineman Suh and let him free lance on the line of scrimmage. That did not work out to good. Heads are going to roll in Miami, in fact reports this morning indicate that Head Coach Philbin has now be fired.

Buffalo Bills...On paper, Buffalo is suppose to have one of the NFL's best defense, well, I did not see it yesterday, and to compound the situation, Rex Ryan's defense should absolutely no discipline. They were flagged 15 times on defense alone!

Philadelphia Eagles....Chip Kelly isn't looking like Mr Wizard these days so far in 2015, and yesterday in our Nation's Capitol, was no exception. Philly fans are going to run out of patience really soon.

Under the category of winning and not looking good, and losing and not looking bad.....

Two teams worth mentioning in the gray area. The San Diego Chargers won but still have major issue's on the offensive line, especially the left side. TAhey were bringing people off the street to play OL this week and this is a major concern moving forward if you plan on keeping Rivers healthy.

The Oakland Raiders..... Now you my think that the Raiders losing to the Bears is not a good thing if you were believing that the black and silver were getting better here in 2015, but let me remind you that the Raiders had to travel east for two straight games. This is not easy, and a lost at Chicago was predictable.

Thanx for all this info. I may try under 45½ for MNF Pittsburgh @ SD
