  • 2 For Sunday Afternoon

Looks like my Dolphins Pick is a bust. They just have no heart at all right now. Philbin just may come home to an empty office.

Here are 2 more for today.

    Carolina vs Tampa Bay

The Carolina Panthers are quietly off to a 3-0 start to their year. They are not a flashy team, but they do play hard and they win with defense mostly. That is bad new for Winston, who has not really played well this year so far. Jameis has completed just 55.6% of his with 3 TDs and 2 Ints. Not great numbers, but they are rookie type numbers, which is what he is. Now this rookie must face this tough Carolina defense that just may be a bit pissed after allowing Luke McCown to throw for 310 yards vs them last week. The Panthers are not a great team on offense, but they do take care of the ball and they are the 6th best rushing team in the league, which will go up against Tampa’s 30th rated run defense. The Panthers get a big edge on defense, while they also have a slight edge on offense.
The Clincher: Divisional road favorites on Grass with a bye week on deck are a stellar 14=1 ATS since 2002.

The Panthers get a big road win here over a Tampa team that is just not all that good on both sides of the ball.

Play Carolina -3 over Tampa Bay

    Dallas vs New Orleans

Going with the Saints in this one as they are extremely desperate and should have Drew Brees back under center. Even if he is not there Luke McCown looked very good last week vs a tougher defense than they will face in this one. Still t looks as if Brees will play and you can bet he will be out for blood here after an embarrassing home loss to Tampa in his last home game. he will also be looking for payback from last years 21 point road loss at he hands of Dallas. The Dallas defense isn't all that good and their offense is still without Bryant and Romo. Last week they showed that their offense is still decent, but still they weren't able to put up enough points to win the game. That should happen here as well.

The Clincher: The Saints are 11-1 ATS when they are winless and playing a non-division team.

The Saints finally break their 6-game home losing streak with a win of at least a TD.

Play New Orleans -3 over Dallas
