Game of the day: Alouettes at Tiger-Cats
          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Tiger-Cats head into Thursday's showdown with the Alouettes with a record of 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall.

          Montreal Alouettes at Hamilton Tiger-Cats (-9.5, 53)

The Hamilton Tiger-Cats look to earn their CFL-leading seventh victory when they host the Montreal Alouettes on Thursday. The Tiger-Cats have won five straight games following a comprehensive 49-20 victory over the Edmonton Eskimos, and return home to Tim Hortons Field where they are a formidable 9-0 during the regular season.

Hamilton's offense continues to put up points at a remarkable rate scoring at least 49 in back-to-back games while its defense recorded its eighth defensive touchdown, which is three off the single-season record set by the BC Lions in 1987. The Alouettes snapped a three-game losing streak with a 23-13 road victory over the Lions but it wasn't enough to save Tom Higgins' job as the second-year coach was unceremoniously relieved of his duties a day after the victory. "We have made this change as we believe it is in the best interest of our team," Montreal owner Bob Wetenhall told reporters. "We all wish to express to Tom our affection and respect, as well as our appreciation for the contributions he has made to the franchise." General manager Jim Popp will assume the coaching duties as he looks to lead the Alouettes to their second win over Hamilton this year after a 17-13 victory in Week 4.

          TV:
          7:30 p.m. ET, TSN, RDS, ESPN2

          LINE HISTORY:
The Ti-Cats opened as 9.5-point home favorites and the total opened at 53.

          INJURY REPORT:
Tiger-Cats - WR Andy Fantuz (Six-Game IR, elbow)

          WHAT CAPPERS SAY:
"Despite beating the B.C. Lions in Vancouver last week, they fired head Coach Tom Higgins, who will be replaced by GM Jim Popp. The Als will be double-digit dogs on the road in Hamilton Thursday, where the Ti-Cats are still undefeated. Montreal held Hamilton to a season low 13 points in Week 4, picking off Zach Collaros three times. Montreal leads the CFL in scoring defense, but Hamilton owns the league's top air attack, averaging over 300 passing yards per game."

          ABOUT THE ALOUETTES (3-5 SU, 5-3 ATS, 1-7 O/U):
Rakeem Cato had one of his most accurate performances of the year as he completed 16-of-19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown against BC. Tyrell Sutton ran for a game-high 111 yards and added another 43 receiving while Nik Lewis had four receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown in Week 9. Anthony Calvillo, who is the CFL's all-time passing leader, was named Montreal's new quarterbacks coach as part of the staff shakeup after spending the first seven games working with the wide receivers.

          ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (6-2 SU, 7-1 ATS, 3-5 O/U):
Zach Collaros continued his recent tear as he threw for 300 yards and three touchdowns to go along with a rushing score against the Eskimos, and leads the CFL with 2,314 passing yards. Defensive end Eric Norwood has scored a defensive touchdown in each of his last two games, including a team-record 106-yard fumble return TD, which was the third longest in CFL history. Hamilton is set to retire the number of legendary offensive lineman Angelo Mosca, who played 158 games for the team, in a halftime ceremony Thursday.

          TRENDS:

          * Under is 19-7 in Tiger-Cats last 26 home games.
          * Alouettes are 6-2 ATS in their last eight meetings.
          * Tiger-Cats are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall.
          * Under is 6-1 in Alouettes last seven games in August.

Game of the Day: Argonauts at Eskimos

James Franklin went 22-of-36 for 254 yards and two interceptions after replacing Nichols in the loss to the Tiger-Cats.

Toronto Argonauts at Edmonton Eskimos (-5, 48.5)

The Toronto Argonauts look to stay hot when they hit the road to face the Edmonton Eskimos on Friday. The Argonauts have won three straight games following a 30-24 victory over the Ottawa Redblacks in Week 9 to keep pace with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the race for first place in the East Division.

Toronto has won five of six games against West Division opponents this season, including a 26-11 triumph over the Eskimos in Week 1, and hopes to notch four consecutive victories for the first time since 2013. Edmonton coach Chris Jones has decided to shake things up at quarterback following a demoralizing 49-20 home loss to the Tiger-Cats. Backup pivot James Franklin, who replaced the ineffective Matt Nichols late in the second quarter against Hamilton, is set to make his first CFL start after a number of relief appearances. Franklin has thrown five touchdown passes compared to one interception, and has been tasked with leading the Eskimos through a brutal gauntlet of games against Toronto, Calgary and Hamilton in the next three weeks.

Books opened the Eskimos at -3.5 but they are now -5. The total opened at 48 and is up a half point to 48.5.

                    INJURY REPORT:
Argonauts - SB Andre Durie (Six-game IR, knee), QB Ricky Ray (Six-game IR, shoulder). Eskimos - Mike Reilly (Late October, knee).

                    ABOUT THE ARGONAUTS (6-2 SU, 5-3 ATS, 4-4 O/U):
Trevor Harris continues to be a revelation for Toronto as he threw for 266 yards and three touchdowns against Ottawa to give him a league-best 19 TD passes on the season. Swayze Waters returned to the fold after missing six games with a knee injury and booted two crucial field goals in the fourth quarter, including the go-ahead kick from 34 yards, against the Redblacks. "An unbelievable performance by him," Toronto coach Scott Milanovich told reporters. "Actually I shouldn't say that because it's believable with Swayze."

                    ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (5-3 SU, 5-3 ATS, 3-5 O/U):
Franklin went 22-of-36 for 254 yards and two interceptions after replacing Nichols, who is tied for the league lead with 10 interceptions, in the loss to the Tiger-Cats. "Nichols has played very good football for us but James graded out a little better and that's the direction we're going," Jones told reporters. "He played against a very good defense the other night and performed well." Derel Walker continues to impress as the rookie wide receiver has caught 24 passes for 308 yards in two games since being inserted into the lineup Aug. 13.

                    TRENDS:

                    * Over is 5-1 in the last six meetings.
                    * Argonauts are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 meetings in Edmonton.

The Stampeders lead the West Division with a 6-2 record, but are just 1-7 against the spread heading into Saturday's game.

Calgary Stampeders at Winnipeg Blue Bombers (+5.5, 49.5)

The Calgary Stampeders look to win their fourth consecutive game when they travel to Winnipeg to tangle with the Blue Bombers on Saturday. The Stampeders are starting to flex their muscles as they downed the Saskatchewan Roughriders 34-31 to move two points clear of the Edmonton Eskimos in the race for first place in the West Division.

Calgary has dominated the Blue Bombers by winning 11 of the past 12 meetings, including the last five contests on the road and a 26-25 home victory in Week 4. Winnipeg looks to halt a two-game losing skid after letting a fourth-quarter lead slip away in the 27-20 setback to the Toronto Argonauts on Aug. 14. The Blue Bombers have dropped four of their last five games and are tied with the BC Lions in the battle for the final playoff spot in the West Division. Robert Marve looked fairly sharp in his CFL debut and has been given the starting nod once again ahead of Brian Brohm as he hopes to lead Winnipeg past Calgary at home for the first time since July 10, 2009.

                      ABOUT THE STAMPEDERS (6-2 SU, 1-7 ATS, 3-5 O/U):
Bo Levi Mitchell is enjoying his best stretch of the year as he's thrown for 875 yards and accounted for nine total touchdowns during Calgary's winning streak, including 303 yards and three scores against the Roughriders. Eric Rogers had seven receptions for a game-high 105 yards and caught a 46-yard Hail Mary pass at the end of the first half against Saskatchewan to record his sixth touchdown in his last six games. "I didn't know if Bo's arm was strong enough to get it there," Rogers joked with reporters. "I just happened to get my hands on it and they didn't jump and I did."

ABOUT THE BLUE BOMBERS (3-5 SU, 3-5 ATS, 2-6 O/U):
Marve completed 18-of-29 passes for 203 yards and a touchdown while running back Cameron Marshall finished with 139 yards from scrimmage and a score filling in for the injured Paris Cotton. Linebacker Jasper Simmons, who was granted his release by Calgary last week after his agent attacked the team on social media, was added to Winnipeg's practice roster. "You know I just want a fresh start and I want to contribute now," Simmons told reporters. "People can criticize me for what happened in Calgary but every person on the field wants to play."

                      TRENDS:

Don't be shocked to see fireworks in Winnipeg

Over wagers have cashed in six of the past seven meetings between the Calgary Stampeders and Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Winnipeg. The two will meet at Investors Group Field Saturday.

That streak includes three consecutive overs in Winnipeg dating back to back a 32-21 Stamps win back in October of 2012.

Books opened the total at 50, but that has since come down to 49.

Game of the day: Roughriders at RedBlacks
                          ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Over has cashed in the past four games involving the Ottawa RedBlacks heading into their Week 10 matchup.

Saskatchewan Roughriders at Ottawa RedBlacks (-3, 51.5)

The Ottawa Redblacks look to get back on track when they host the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday. The Redblacks have lost back-to-back games following a 30-24 setback to the Toronto Argonauts to fall four points behind Toronto and the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the race for top spot in the East Division.

Ottawa dropped both meetings with the Roughriders last season, including a 35-32 double-overtime loss, and hopes to avoid falling further off the pace by earning its fourth home victory of the year. Saskatchewan remains the only winless team in the CFL after dropping a 34-31 decision to the Calgary Stampeders in Week 9. The Roughriders are mired in their longest losing streak since finishing the 1999 season with eight straight defeats, and six of their eight losses this year have come by four points or fewer. Saskatchewan is mathematically alive for the final playoff spot in the West Division as they sit six points behind Winnipeg and BC, but no team has ever started the year with eight straight losses and qualified for the postseason.

                          LINE HISTORY:
Books opened Ottawa -3. The total opened 52.5 but is down a full point to 51.5.

                          INJURY REPORT:
Roughriders - SB Chris Getzlaf (Out, leg).

                          ABOUT THE ROUGHRIDERS (0-8 SU, 2-5-1 ATS, 5-3 O/U):
Offensive lineman Randy Richards was slapped with the maximum fine by the CFL after he was ejected for his clothesline tackle on Calgary return man Tim Brown during the loss to Stampeders. The injury bug continues to bite the Riders as slotback Chris Getzlaf, who has caught four touchdown passes, was carted off the practice field after injuring his left leg while running a routine route Wednesday. Paul McCallum saw his extra point streak come to an end as he missed his first conversion since Sept. 25, 1993 after making 802 straight attempts.

                          ABOUT THE REDBLACKS (4-4 SU, 5-3 ATS, 5-3 O/U):
Henry Burris completed his first 18 passes before finishing 32-of-36 for 426 yards to set a CFL record for completion percentage in a game with at least 35 attempts. Ottawa released its leading tackler Brandon McDonald on Wednesday after the defensive back committed his 10th infraction of the season - a momentum-changing objectionable conduct penalty - in the loss to the Argonauts. "It's been an issue and we just felt that enough was enough," Redblacks general manager Marcel Desjardins told reporters. "We couldn't have the lack of discipline continue when we've tried to correct it a number of times."

                          TRENDS:

                          * Over is 4-0 in RedBlacks last four games overall.
                          * Roughriders are 1-6-1 ATS in their last eighth road games.
                          * RedBlacks are 5-2 ATS in their last seven home games.
                          * Under is 38-17 in Roughriders last 55 games in August.

                          CONSENSUS:
Fifty-six percent of users are backing the RedBlacks.
