What is your thought on the Celtics (or anyone). I have been playing NSA's 20* all week and my butt is hanging by a thread (0-5).
Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh? Oh, it looks good on you though.
Originally posted by savage1 Does anyone have the Northcoast Superbowl System Play, which has gone 16-1-1 or 33-3-2 going back even further.
Phil StoolPigeon of Northcoast blabs about it every day, so there must be something to it; I bet it is nothing more complicated than something like taking team with best record during the season and playing them.:D

Once again you have let your bias against Phil Steele/Northcoast get the better of you. Perhaps it's because you only got 4 hours of sleep last night.
The Super Bowl system is a set of about 16 comparisons in certain statistical categories between the two Super Bowl teams. A weighted number of points are assigned to whichever team performed better in that category during the season. Each team's points are then totaled and compared to the point spread.
While the system's record has been very good (32-3-2 ATS in its history & 16-1-2 the L19 years, the loss coming last year), Phil Steele would be the first to tell you not to base a Super Bowl bet solely on this particular system. However, it's a nice tool to have when handicapping the game. Note: it only predicts a side, not a total.
You can find the system in the Northcoast Pro Football scorebook, published at the beginning of each season, which I happen to have a copy of. I'll post it here when I get a chance.
Mike Schmidt-I may kid about Phil Stool I mean Steele, and say things in jest but I DO really respect him believe it or not and believe me I am not one to fade a system like that;I am just kidding and just play with people's names and say some things for fun with no harm meant.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the Northcoast Super Bowl System had Tampa Bay last year, it was a winnah! I know they did win with it last year, so I assume it was in fact Tampa Bay. I know they had them on the late phones.
Originally posted by coonsis hey sonicfan, which of the vsi's do you strongly strongly reccommend??? and do you have their updated 20* records? thanks in advance..
Right now I like CALLAHAN, NEW York(for now has been doing good lately) and the CONSENSUS. These guys are streaky but CALLAHAN has been the most consistent on a week to week basis. NSA has his moments and FOOTE as well. Frankb can give you an pretty good ideal of their actual records. I think he posted the records not to long ago.
Other cappers to watch in the forum are Special K and Sports Wizards.
