    No. 1: Nick Saban
    2014 salary: $7.3 million

    School: University of Alabama

    Saban has restored Alabama to national prominence and turned the program into a powerhouse. He has won three BCS national championships with the Tide, in addition to winning one as the head coach of LSU in 2003.

    No. 2: Bob Stoops
    2014 salary: $5.25 million

    School: University of Oklahoma

    Stoops has more BCS bowl game appearances on his resume than any coach in the country, leading the Sooners to nine and winning four. He also coached Heisman Trophy winners Jason White and Sam Bradford.

    No. 3: Charlie Strong
    2014 salary: $5 million

    School: University of Texas

    This season will be Strong's first year at the helm in Austin, Texas, and Longhorns fans are hoping he can lead the program back to national prominence. Strong spent the previous four seasons at the University of Louisville and led the Cardinals to a BCS bowl win in the 2012 season.

    No. 4: Kevin Sumlin
    2014 salary: $5 million

    School: Texas A&M University

    Sumlin was named SEC coach of the year in 2012 and has a 20-6 record in two seasons as the Aggies head coach. He also coached 2012 Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

    No. 5: Urban Meyer
    2014 salary: $4.8 million

    School: Ohio State

    Meyer led the Buckeyes to an undefeated season in 2012 and followed it up last year with a 12-2 record and a BCS bowl appearance. Meyer won two national championships while at Florida and has led three schools to BCS games.

          Since Bob Stoops took over as head coach in 1999, there is only 1 school with more wins and a better winning % than OU. Boise State.

          So, yea, I guess he's overpaid and stealing money
