Poll: Daily Service's Thread

After seeing a little response both ways about this tonight (Tuesday). I figured i would throw the question out to the Members and let you decide. Of course BC has final say but let's see what YOU want.



Should the Daily Service's thread be posted in "All Sports Discussion" or "Sports Service's" ?






I personally have never thought about it but seeing bigjim's reaction to me putting it there by mistake made me think about it. Yes your used to it in one place but i'm sure you could find it pretty fast. It's usually always on the front page anyway.

I think jim was right and it's only fitting to have the Sports Service Plays in the Sports Service section. Can't we keep them seperate for those of us not interested in them? Or does it matter? You decide.

I would like to see the service plays remain in the ASD (All Sports Discussion) forum and here are a few reasons why:

Sports Services section is for those services that come on and want to sell their plays. If anyone is wanting to purchase a big play or a certain service, they know where to go.

If you look at the number of views under the service plays every night, you would be amazed at how many people go there. Whether this is to play on or against a certain service, is up to the person.

The majority of people come to ASD to post their plays, thoughts, or whatever. It is nice while viewing a lot of opinions from cappers, to be able to view what services are actually on. Too many forums will lead to switching back and forth, which will get old real fast.

One last point is that where would you draw the line then? Should I post my opinions in the service section? Should anyone posting individual plays be posted in the service section?

Sorry for the long post and this is only 1 man's opinion.

I believe the thread should be moved.

1. Its going to keep us all from having to wade through the never ending "Please Post Loser X's Service Plays" posts that Wayne is constantly having to merge back into the thread... and save Wayne and BC the aggravation of the clean up.

2. It wil distribute the views a little more evenly between the two areas. I believe this will end some Services belief that they are in an unviewed area, and keep them from their rediculous "Here's a free 1* pick I really have no faith in... But my 100Trillion Star Lock of the Millenium Falcon can be purchased for $99.99 at www.vegasbitch.com" posts that also are the constant bane of Wayne and the other Moderators.

I realize it may take some time to get used to, but I really do believe it is what's best for the overall site.

A good idea may be to wait until after the Superbowl to make this a permanent change (so as not to throw off anybody's routine to abruptly). Perhaps a test run between the end of football and the beginning of the NCAA Tourney to see how things work out.

Hey, I have my favorite Services I like to monitor too... is it really too much work to click back and forth betwen the two forums? If so, open two windows.

thread should be kept in the "All sports discussion" so a person
would not have to go back and forth between the two.

Jim what makes you think your response #1 and #2 still wouldn't happen even if the thread was moved?

I think all sticky's should be removed if there isn't enough support for the thread let it fall where it deserves to go....Sticky's clutter bchat more than anything.

Location of service picks thread???
It really doesn't affect me as I normally slide past the stickys.....but from the number of hits that thread gets it would appear most people like it where it is.
