Mike Schmidt-I'll stand by my statement re: Big Al as a so-so day in and day out capper and that is what counts not the reservations you put on him by stating that one should play only certain plays of his.
I have seen enough of his plays over the years to form my opinion.
The best cappers are right here on this thread and are free and dwarf in comparison what Big Al ,Marc Lawence, Feist and many other paid impostor services have done despite the BS they spew forth.
Try Memphis Mafia and Ez Winners for example;show me anyone better on a day in and day out basis.
I guess Big Al must be good as he claims to work 20 hour work days 365 days a year capping and sifting out information;yeah right-he works 20 hour work days with 4 hours of sleep a night-keep on believing that drivel.

There's not much positive to post in this thread. After floating around this site for about 6 weeks it's safe to say almost ALL services SUCK.

Big Al is one of the better of a very mediocre to horrible bunch. IMO Marc Lawrence is one of the worst.

one more point IMO it's important that the 'seasoned' members of this site comment on a requested service in this thread.

Read this thread daily. Many of the service request come from newbies. These newbies often have gotten misleading records of some cappers. Last week a new member requested a service picks. In the post he mentioned the capper was 10-2 the past week. In reality that capper was 10-8.

Go to covrsexperts website. It states Big Al is 65% in the NBA. At sports monitor he's 57%.

4Breakout-show me documentation of what you say, and I will believe it.
Memphis Mafia is a documented 558 and 367 in college baskets this year-not too shabby.

i don't work for him so i wouldn't get anything out of doing the research, nor do i care whether or not you believe me or him

i am sure you can go to the usual sources sportsmonitor or texas sportswire.com and find out what his numbers are

i know for a fact he is the only service on on sportsmonitor that has been ranked number one all three sports several times in the same year.

                    • 4breakout- I believe that any service could be #1 in the major categories for 1 year;you said 10 years, which is what I question.
I still say ezwinners and Memphis Mafia are at least as good from what I have seen over the time I have been on this thread.

                      • ps I am sure there are a lot of folks who would say how great other services are also with no documentation to support it over any real long period of time.

                        • Goldencontender-Thank for those. I am playing both of them.
The two sources you cited have had tremendous years, and win or lose, I believe that combo is a good one.

                          • My point is that anyone who has read this thread knows what Savage thinks of Big Al and just about every handicapper in the known universe who charges a fee for his picks -- "He Hate Them".

I suggest posting the negative comments to the "I Hate Services" thread that has proliferated lately and keep this one open to those who are looking for certain services whose plays they would like. An obvious exception would be the example previously stated, enlightening someone who doesn't know better that has been mislead. Newcomers to this site are also unaware which people who post here are on the ball and which are just flailing away.

But simply posting, "Big Al is a charlatan" or "please post Northcoast so I can fade their picks" is not a positive contribution to this thread.

As far as Al McMordie is concerned, all I know is that I have subscribed to his service and made money with him in the past and though he has had his ups and downs as all professional and amateur handicappers have, in my experience he is honest and profitable in the long run. He posts his records on his website, BigAl.com, and will speak in person to anyone that calls and does not employ boiler room salespeople. But even if you don' t care for his service, putting the knock on him nearly every time someone requests his plays is not helping anyone.

                            Good luck,
                            "Mike"

I don't work for Texas Sports Wire. If you make a statement you should back it up. Although, your statement was simply "better day in and day out....year in and year out.....and decade in and decade out." 'Better than' is relative. Better than mediorce is OK.
