First off, let me say,I'm not ever crazy about putting out a GOY type play. It bothers me to no end if it loses and I'm responsible in any way of causing someone to lose their own hard earned money. Having said that, I do think this is a really good play and think it has a decent chance of winning. If you do bet, please do so with only an amount you can afford to lose....That's enough of my PSA.
On to the play....I really like Utah -2.5 tomorrow. The line has dropped from -4.5. That worries me a little, but I still like it.
What I know about these two teams.....Utah is from the Pac12. They play better competition, week in and week out. Period. They have beaten a couple of top 20 teams, which isn't easy to do in the Pac12. They beat the crap out of Fresno, which wasn't a great team, but I think Colorado St is just a little better than Fresno.
Utah beat UCLA, USC and Stanford. Granted, they lost to both Zona schools and Oregon.
Colorado St on the other hand had one quality win. Beating Boston College on the road by 3. They lost to Boise St and Air Force. Other than that, they've beaten a lot of light weight teams and no one decent.
This will virtually be a home game for Utah. It's an hour drive to Vegas and Utah fans travel very well. Not sure how many Co St will bring.
This game reminds me a lot of last years Vegas Bowl when Fresno St came up against USC and got manhandled. Fresno and USC had very similar records to these two teams. The Pac12 has bigger and better athletes. If Co St plays their best game and Utah is off, it will be close. I don't see Co St blowing Utah out. The Utes and their fans take their football very seriously. I'm hoping Utah will be focused and not feel like this is a letdown. That would be my only other concern.
GOY.....Utah -2.5
Good luck fellas. Let's hope this is a profitable bowl season!
