I'm finally getting over that Packer loss .
They got rid of the Defensive Cord. Donatell. That's a start but the problems don't all fall on his shoulders. Most fans are pissed on the 4th and 1 and not going for it. Sherman played not to lose. NO GUTS!!
Back to Donatell.

Several sources close to the team suggested several factors entered into Sherman's decision.

He apparently wants to switch to a more aggressive, attack-style defense, although Donatell blitzed this season more than ever. In the loss Sunday, he sent six or more rushers on 20% of the Eagles' pass plays, but didn't press their receivers and left the middle of the field open for Donovan McNabb to rush for 107 yards.

There also was a feeling within the team that Donatell was having increasing problems communicating with and relating to his players.

Those sources also said he would get flustered on the sidelines at times and didn't cut an authoritative presence. At practice, he was neither demonstrative nor loud and served more as overseer than a hands-on instructor. Other than early in training camp when the defense was being installed, Donatell normally allowed the other defensive assistants to do most of the coaching.
