Insider Information. Teams You Track Closely....

I'm going to start this thread in hopes of getting some of you guys to post information about teams you keep track of. Especially teams in your hometown that you might read a story about in the newspaper.

I follow Fresno State pretty close. I've been to their practices, read the local paper and will post any information I think can be useful to winning a bet. This year they are pure crap. So that will be my first observation. I know, that one was obvious!

Any and all info is welcomed. Things like players who are disgruntled, coach saying his team will focus more on defense, an injury to a key player, a revenge factor, which is always a huge gambling advantage, etc etc.....

Any kind of advantage we can get at making a pick more valid will help us all beat the books.....

Hope some of you guys will chime in. If this gets some posts to start up, I may sticky this thread.

OU starting RB Keith Ford will be out 2-3 weeks with a fracture in his fibula.

WVU starting CB Worley suspended today and will not play vs OU. That makes me like WVU a little bit less, but I still like the points.

Bad, bad spot for the Sooners. Rowdy crowd, without stud RB Ford, not any emerging weapons at WR besides Shepard. I'm really, really worried....

All I've been hearing is that the Sooners are like a pro team with some of the best athletes ever. WV is mediocre at best and struggled with a lame Maryland team. You don't think Ford being out, others will step up?

WV was a DOG to Maryland, and played Bama tough as nails. I don't think they're great by any means, but it is a trap game for OU for sure!

I can't remember who said it. I believe it was the guys doing an ESPN game....I do remember they weren't just nobodies though. Might have been someone like Herbstreet. He said they have top level talent at every position and this was one of their best teams. They were discussing who would be in the playoffs at the end of the year.

I get some good info on Tulsa University................I can tell you this.....

TU is in complete disarray............weak all over, Coaches making numerous position changes to try and get things turned around..........

He's doing things 3 games into the season, that he should have done in Spring drills........

In addition, I feel Coach Blankenship is on his way out........His first years as head COACH was OK, but it was with players he inherited from previous coach.........His recruiting abilities leave a lot to be desired IMO.........

FAU handed um their ass in a basket.........They were damn lucky to beat a bad Tulane team in OT.......

I would avoid betting on TU this season........

I don't disagree with anything KB is saying about the Sooner/mountaineers game. I will say, however, that OU's defense is badass and the coaches will be highly motivated to prepare a good defensive plan to try and overshadow that performance 2 years ago in Morgantown when the Sooner D got lit up. I do think the Sooners will win but it won't be a cakewalk. Haven't looked at the total but I'd have to at least consider the under.

Great information guys. This is exactly the type of knowledge on games in your area that I was hoping to get. Hopefully others will be encouraged to chime in. I know JT knows his Mississippi teams pretty well, as well as Raven and the Baltimore area.
