Domonic Brown, Philadelphia - Doub Sun

Brown has missed the last four games with a bad case of strep throat. He is not expected to play in Sunday's game against the Nationals.

Mets heating up for Under bettors

The New York Mets have gone Under the total in back-to-back games heading into Sunday's third game in the series with the San Francisco Giants, and are 3-11 Over/Under in the past 14 games overall.

The Mets and Giants have combined for six runs in each of the first two games of their series and oddsmakers have placed a low total of 6.5 on Sunday's games.

Madison Bumgarner is scheduled to start for the Giants, while the Mets will counter with Bartolo Colon.

Adam Dunn, Chi. White Sox - Doub Sun

Dunn is not expected to be in the starting lineup Sunday against the Twins as he will likely be given the day to rest.

Stroman cashing in when tabbled as fave

Toronto Blue Jays righty Marcus Stroman has been a revelation for the ball club this season. The 23-year-old is 7-2 with a 3.03 ERA and 1.10 WHIP in 11 starts (five relief apperances) on the season.

Stroman has also cashed in for Jays' backers when his club is favored. The A.L. East club is 4-0 in Stroman's last four starts when the Jays are faves.

This is where Stroman and the Jays find themselves in Houston Sunday. Toronto is currently a -167 fave for the game. The Astros are slated to counter with Scott Feldman.

Lowly Padres cashing in as favorites recently

The San Diego Padres are toiling in mediocrity in the National League West. They're 10-games below .500 and are 12.5-games behind the L.A. Dodgers, so naturally, they are not being tabbed as favorites with any frequency this season.

That said, when they have closed as faves, they've cashed in recently, posting a record of 4-0 in their last four in such spots. They've defeated the St. Louis Cardinals twice (-118 and -118), the Chicago Cubs (-123) and New York Mets (-135) the previous four times they've been favored.

Books are currently offering the Friars as -136 home favorites with the Atlanta Braves in town Sunday. Tyson Ross is slated to start for the Pads and the Braves are scheduled to counter with Aaron Harang.

Road team hot with Wendelstedt umpiring in this park

Visiting ball clubs to the Oakland Coliseum have posted a record of 10-2 when umpire Hunter Wendelstedt has been tasked with calling balls and strikes. Overall, the home team is 9-8 this season with the umpire behind the dish.

The Kansas City Royals will pay the Oakland A's a visit at the Oakland Coliseum Sunday. The Royals have had some success with Wendelstedt behind the plate as they've gone 5-2 in the last seven games with him working the plate.

The Royals are currently +146 road dogs for Sunday's game.

Sun a solid Over bet in recent road games

The Connecticut Sun have cashed in for Over bettors on the road of late, posting a 5-0 Over/Under record in their last five away games.

The Sun conclude a three-game road set at the Los Angeles Sparks Sunday afternoon. The total is currently being offered at 155.5.

The club currently owns an O/U record of 14-13 on the season and is one of just five teams to have an O/U record greater than .500.
