The best way to do it

would be to have all games on the weekend. Say all NBA and NCAA games on Friday night (Unless you wanted NCAA games only, that's fine too), Saturday and Sunday. Make it 5 games a day instead of 20 for the week. MemphisMafia (or associate) can post the lines Friday at Noon (for Friday's games), Saturday at 10:00AM EST for Sat games, and Sunday at 10:00AM for Sunday.

Just make plays according to strength, 5 thru 1. The lines would posted somewhere around the times I suggested and each day players would have to rank their picks and play 5 games (We are gamblers after all) . That way you know what you're ranking your picks against.

We could do this every day if you want and just have 3 games a day be the rule but it would be alot of work and not everybody could play every day, whereas the weekend would be fair game for both contestant and Ms Mafia!

Fri. nites are about as bad as we can get on b-ball games (NCAA) and we where trying to keep this focused on the college ranks . Waynes suggestion of T.V. games on ESPN was a very good one . The best games as dictated by the NCAA are always on Wed. & Sat. & Sun. and those just happen to be on T.V.

20 games a week will give us plenty of action , and also if a person misses a day it still gives them a chance to tally a few points for the missed games and stay in the hunt. I can find the time to gather-up the T.V. listings & get the lines ( scoresandodds ) and then post them for 3 days ( over 9 weeks ) anymore than that and it becomes a labor of shall I say " not love " . I also can get the lines up as early as possible for those with things to do other than be a degenerate gambler ( like most of us )

We as wagering junkies know that those 3 days gives us :

#1 - great games to watch & wager on
#2 - show us as a group what the strongest plays are
#3 - offer us some value to actually bet on
#4 - spread it out (to give us time for homework)
#5 - not give me another job ( whoa baby )
#6 - gives us at least the bulk on weekends
#7 - since Sundays are sparse ( but good ) we could allocate say a : Wed. = 7 / Sat. = 10 / Sun. = 3 ( or fill in as we need )
#8 - T.V. will give us a very good mixture of games
#9 - Last but not least , we could start next weekend if we have to but we need to get this set in stone before we go into battle and keep it fair for everyone. Monte has made a suggestion that we shuck the confidence part and just tally wins and losses and I like the not being disqualified because you miss games ( like the NFL contest ) because people do have other things to do in life than play a contest. Of course it diminishes your chances of winning , but does not kill them plus a person can still post even if he has missed several days and give us his insight .

I hope we can all agree soon on what to do , and thanks to all for thier time and help because together we will come up with a great system Im sure ! Lets also leave the "Madness" part alone and just go with the classic pool .

about the ranking of games. That would be impossible to do because you don't know how much you'll like a Saturday game on Monday. Whatever system you choose, I am in.
