Alfonso Soriano, NY Yankees - Doub Sun

Soriano is not expected to play Sunday against the Twins as he will be given the day off.

Nelson Cruz ends May at 20 HR, 52 RBI

Cruz is baseball’s home run and RBI leader with 20 and 52, respectively. Cruz ended the month of May with a home run and three runs batted in against the Astros, and is slashing a cool .315/.383/.675. If not for Blue Jays first baseman Edwin Encarnacion, Cruz would be a frontrunner for AL Player of the Month honors, as he has belted 13 home runs and knocked in 27 runs in May. Encarnacion is at 16 and 33 on the month, respectively.

Domonic Brown, Philadelphia - Doub Sun

Brown is not expected to be in the starting lineup Sunday against the Mets as he will likely be given the day to rest.

        Pitchers' wind expected in Chicago

When the Chicago White Sox host the San Diego Padres Sunday afternoon, starting pitchers would be aided by a bit of wind that could knock down a few fly balls.

According to DailyBaseballData, forecasts are calling for wind to blow in from right field at U.S. Cellular Field at 13 mph.

According to our MLB Stadiums statistics, when the wind blow in from right field between 10-20 mph, the Over/Under record is 1-5 at U.S. Cellular.

The Padres will send Eric Stults to the hill, while the Pale Hose are expected to counter with ace Chris Sale. The total is currently 7.5.

Pedroia back in Red Sox lineup

Boston Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia returned to the lineup Sunday against the Tampa Bay Rays after missing Saturday's game with a right hand injury.

Pedroia is batting third in the order. He left Friday's game because of the injury and missed Saturday's 7-1 win. The Red Sox can complete a three-game sweep of Tampa Bay.

Manager John Farrell said Pedroia's status was day to day on Saturday. X-rays taken on Pedroia's hand were negative and an MRI showed no structural damage.

Pedroia is batting .275 with a .349 on-base percentage this season. He has two home runs and 17 RBIs in 53 games.
