  • KAPTAINS Thursday "what evers".......

how do you follow a 4-9 day..........with another 4-9 day..........We had a fantastic 3 1/2-4 week run of hitting a very high percentage of wins......then went into a nose dive, and did the exact opposite for the last 3 weeks.......I've decided to cut down my plays, not overcap, and go to "First Impulse" picks......PAPI & I also use the 2 minute capping method...... Will do this for a while, and see what happens..........

    HIASIGO's.............21-16
    5* PODs................71-71
    Combined..............92-87 -2.2 units
    CBB......................288-252...subtracting the big plays....+18.2 units

not much for a lots of hard work..........gonna coast with "Impulses" for a while........

Here's 3 for today......Will probably be back in with a couple more..........

    519 E Car +12
    537 Rice +3 1/2
    544 U Conn -13 1/2

    bol fellows............lock and load

Bol Kaptain. I think you are smart in cutting down on your plays. Better to focus on a few instead of a lot.

Kapt, good call on bringing down the number of plays. I said in my thread that I was doing the same.
I am an old newbie at this, but adaptation is needed to be successful and do the one thing that is most important. Win money.
Correct me if I am wrong, the vig is what creates the house advantage and they stay in business on players that places lots of bets. It has action/reaction players they also like to see.
They, however, are not fond of a player that waits patiently and plays higher percentage plays. Your POD's are your higher percentage plays.

The day may be full of potential plays. Keying on the best possible win selection(s)
and corraling the very best crew for the journey that night is gonna let you sleep well again.
The Man gets the Vig but The Kapt takes the Bounty!
Kapt says he is gonna start blasting with loaded cannon at the bigger bounty and give no chase to the small fry!

            Knowing you love poetry:

Wearing the same ole hat, a lucky one at that,
for every battle there was the courageous Kapt.
He commanded the crew with confidence and brew,
To take only treasure ships loaded to the hue
And each fell, hulls lightened, sinking in the deep blue vat!

Best of luck my old friend.

Since my old partner Kapt likes poems, I stumbled across this one today and felt I'd share Think my buddy PhilJr will like this one too

                      Roses are red
                      Violets are blue
                      Vodka is cheaper
                      Than a dinner for two

LMAO KB. I am going to start using that one when my "loved one" wants to go to eat.

Anyway, best of luck tonight Kapt and let's get out of these funks as a lot of BC members are currently in. I disagree with cutting down the # of plays but rather the volume....Reason - Let's say you like 6-7 games, so you take away 3. I'm willing to bet when you are struggling, those 3 win and the others lose. Just my 2 cents but we shall "weather" the storm rolling into the Madness of March.
Am I the longest tenured BC member?

Well, then why not play every game so you won't miss the ones that could win! LOL! I just feel two bad days and a host of games can dampen your spirits and make you wonder what if you did not play so many games. Why not make a play or two and enjoy the evening. Come back and double if you like. Whatever works. But more is not better! If we all have our runs on good and bad, which we do, we are not hurt by bad nights or weeks as much.
Its a marathon, not a sprint.
