Formally know as The daily service's suck thread

Thanks to Savage for recommending a new name. I modified his recommendation a little. From Ralph Nader to BettorsChat.

Last nights shitty picks once again belong to one of my favorite Marc Lawrence.

Marc's FALSE FAVORITE GOM was on Jazz - LOSER.

Marc also had uncovered a Super Pick play on Friday night’s NBA card that is 22-4 ATS, with not one, but two 100% tighteners inside the angles. That play was on the Suns - ANOTHER LOSER.

Don't dispair sports fans Marc's got not one but two GOS (something) going today. A COLLEGE HOOPS UNDERDOG GOM from ANOTHER never lost situation and NFL PERFECT SYSTEM PLAYOFF GOY from a 100% never lost system. If you get on board it'll only cost $85.

Good news sports fans. Carlo Campanella has now hit 2 straight GOS after losing 3 straight early this week. He's HOT!!! He has another GOY in the NBA tonight and ANOTHER GOM in the NFL. Get the picks for $70 before the lines move against you.

Hats off to Larry Ness. His 10* Blow-Out of the Week was a true blow out. He had the Lakers.

One of our other favorite touts did not have a losing night. Big Al. WOW! Oh wait he didn't have any selections on a 12 game NBA card.

    Frank,
Don't forget-there is another scum sucking and big time lying and deceitful service by the name of the Score, which hasn't been exposed here yet.
Hopefully, in time we can show them to be the con artists they are also.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll start looking for their selection. I like using Marc, Big Al and gang because along with their selections I get their analysis.

I'd love to also post on Root and gang. He's probably the biggest fucking scum bag of all. He doesn't have the balls to post his past selections on his website. One thing I can say about Big Al he stands behind his record and posts it on his site. Average and all.

          Great work Frank.
Of course as we all found out when he posted here, the biggest joke of all is Ty Gaston with his at one time 106-8 alleged record on his Code Zebra Club picks at $1500 a selection.
Actually to even mention his name here is probably an insult to anyone with an IQ over 50, as he is such a deadpan giveaway with all his clubs hitting hitting at absurd non-existent percentages.
Jimmy the Fixer, Jack Price Jo hnny Demarco and Stu Feiner should also be given consideration if and when their picks and records are available.
Also, don't forget NSA and their GOY"s of something 365 days a year, their knowedge of gamblers betting 400K on regular season baseball games, their supposed reports from trainer's room of injured pitchers(I remember once reading that and the supposedly linjured pitcher was so "injured" he went out and threw a 4 hit shutout) and of course their 90-0 or maybe 90-1 system plays(that sounds more believeable than 90-0).
Keep up the great work, and again what a great idea;sure hope folks stop by here.

              Handicappers vs Scamdicappers

I would not begin to argue with the posts in this thread. I've posted here a few times in the past few days so I've been trying to keep my mouth shut. I do, though, want to make reemphasize one of my points. All the slimebags you've named in today's posts are just that...the lowest forms of life. I think, though, that we should keep in mind the distinction between handicapping and scamdicapping. I sound like a broken record, but any service that shares addresses, TV shows, radio shows, etc., with any other service is a piece of crap. There ARE some legits out there though. The ones who are won't be on USA Network, offer free plays for calling them then require your phone number so they can call you back, be advertised in any of the rotation schedules printed and distributed from Vegas, etc. MOST SERVICES ARE CROOKS!!! I think we should be careful and make sure that, in the interest of balance, we don't put all services in the same pool of slime. Since I don't wanna appear to be fronting for any services, I'm not even mentioning the services I consider to be reputable, but a few are out there. And so you'll know, I'm not a rookie sports gambler. In thirty years, I've been screwed by just about all the criminals, and I now know (for the most part) who is legit and gives consistently good plays and who doesn't. Two of the services I've been with for many years have given 60.2% and 61.4% winners over the past six years. Don't mistake me for a supporter of services in general or an apoligist for the industry cause I'm not. This continues to be a really good thread. Keep the whistle-blowing coming.

Biloxi-I agree with what you say, and like you, I have been doing this stuff since the early 70's and know the ropes re: services.
That being said, could you name the services which have done well for you, or is their some reason you would rather not?

                    Savage / Magoo

Thanks for the interest. First, Rain Man is Chuck Rainey out of Memphis. He's is reutable and generally is very good in the CFB...Mediocre in the NFL. Chuck has actually made full season refunds one year several years ago when everything he touched turned to crap. He was still around 50% but as you know, with juice, that don't cut it. Chuck is particularly good on his top CFB plays each week and not quite as good on his "regular" plays. He sort of specialized in southern schools. Uses a good blend of technical (trends) and fundamental analysis. Is particularly good looking for "good scheduling spots". Will make you money over the long haul. AS LONG AS YOU KNOW WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON AND DON'T EXPECT 75% WINNERS (which is the problem with alot of the service critics (posters on BC excluded).

Other....Year in and year out the best I"ve found is EXECUTIVE SPORTSLINE out of Cresson, PA. One man show run by Brian...damn, I forget his last name. Extremely attentive to details. For example, a few year back on his NFL GOU, he was really in the minority, but on his relaese tape, he pointed out that the particular OC had gone up against the particular DC four times during their careers, each being with four different teams, The DC had successfully shut down the OC EACH time. Made it five in a row with an easy win. Just pointing this out to show the depth of his analysis. Hell, I didn't even know they had faced each other. Consistently around 60% AND COMPLETELY HONEST IN HIS RECORD RECAPS!!!

Tony Wright Sports is also credible and honest. Like everyone, has hot and cold streaks, but historically will give you 58-60%, but his win rate can be much better as his bigger plays are more reliable.

GAMEDAY has had an awesome year this year, but I've only been with him for three years. Someone has told me there are two GAMEDAYS, but this one is NOT out of Vegas. Can get you his address in the next few days. His HFL top plays this year are 21-8 and more recntly, he's been on 15-4 roll. Since my experience with him is fairly recent, I'm still withholding judgement.

Lastly, alot of people will call this blasphemy, but NC (despite the marketing techniques that many on this forum consider insidious) has been a consistent winner for ten years. Had one losing year with him (1996) and two years where we basically broke even (1992 and 2003). That being said though, the 2003 results are greatly skewed by an abysmal college season. HIs pro plays (particularly his highest rated play each week) have continued to bring the cash. Well over 65% this year on those.

Hope this helps and doesn't get me burned at the stake on this thread...tm

i have a confession to make.........I AM ACTUALLY TY GASTON!!!!!!!!!!!

i just did not think you all would respect me if i told you the truth about who i was.......

savage, or whatever your name is, how dare you question my record of 106-8??? and by the way, of the 8 losses, 7 were by less than a point, and 1 loss was because right before the game, the team has 8 suspensions, so i could be 114-0!!!!!!!!!

i do not like this thread, i do a lot for the sports handicapping industry.....i am one of the most respected handciappers in the world!!!!!!!

and now, as i have proven once again how talented and honest of a guy i am, my fee for the zebra club pick will now be $2500 per game.............

BUT today, i will give away 4 games of the year free, and here they are--->st. louis (-7), carolina (+7), new england (-6), and tennessee (+6)...........somehow, i will post later on that i went 4-0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I CANNOT STOP LAUGHING, WHAT A F***ING LOSER TY GASTON IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KEEP THE THREAD GOING, I WILL TRY TO POST IN IT AS OFTEN AS POSSIBLE

In fairness to any legit services I'd gladly post the positive side of this shady business. Any member feel free to post the names or the selection of legit services and where the members here can monitor their selections.

                            Mike Lee

A Newbie member today requested Mike Lee's NBA selections. This member posted that Mike Lee has a 28-11 record in the NBA. Mike Lee's website has his NBA record at 85-71. If my basic math is good that's 54%. The Sports Monitor thru 1/4 has Mike at 63-50 56%. It's amazing how often people are misinformed about touts records. It's possible that Mike's on a 28-11 run. Who knows! No where on Lee's website it mentions he's on a winning run.
